I bet you'd enjoy going to the community carnivals in Maryland ... some volunteer fire companies organize week-long carnivals as fundraisers, with rides, games, food, and other amusements in the summertime. Walking home from one of those on a warm summer's evening---sometimes with a plush toy I won, or a carnival snack ... good times.

When I was growing up, we had a neighbor with a swimming pool. Was I a little sunburned pest around there in the summertime sucking around every day for permission to come and swim? Believe it!! A hot day reminds me of those times.
