Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good Morning my Friends and yes, you read that banner correctly -- we have indeed arrived at Milestone number four, that marker being the ONE THIRD point to Christmas Season 2016.
(And doesn't it seem like we arrived here quickly?)

Days to the Season: 243
Days to Christmas Day: 285


Nice and warm yesteday but we were under a severe thunderstorm warning during the evening hours. Lots of rain and some lightning but no strong winds.
Today should be clear with highs in the 80's, as our surprisingly warm weather continues.
We show 57 dampish degrees here, currently.

I don't know how old your daughter is HMG but I'm guessing young...when I was early-mid 20s I had a manager like that who got MAD because I missed 1 day of work in 5 months when I had a flu. I came in the next day and he acted like I committed a crime by having called in sick for 1 day. Well I went home that day and made a plan to save up money and picked a date that I was going to leave and nothing they said would stop me from that. I found a better job with better pay and never looked back. Unfortunately employers can be a bit tough but at the same point most will be understanding if you're really sick...as they say you have to look out for yourself because nobody else is going to.

My daughter just sent a message to her manager, we're waiting for her to respond. I hope she understands. My daughter is a nervous wreck. It's too bad these employers can't be more sympathetic!

Good Tuesday Morning MMC! The Ides Of March...and already almost halfway through the month. Looks like the overcast chill is here but it's supposed to warm up the next few days. This time change has made me a little tired in the mornings but I know within a month or less it will be lighter out again in the mornings. Not too bad. Other than that just rolling through my week. Lots of fun stuff coming up. My sister's bday is this weekend so we're gonna have some pizza, cake etc...as I say 10 year old kids bday type stuff...some of us still love that more than some fancy restaurants (like me).

Well hopefully she will understand. My friend joked with me after he knew how mad I was when my former employer treated me like that and said next time when you're badly sick go to work and well get sick on him (putting it a nice way).

Good morning MMC! Happy Tuesday!!! I'm not sure how much I'll be around this morning. We have the ISO audit at work. YUCK! I do not like it when that man shows up every year. LOL! But I hope you are all having a wonderful Tuesday so far!!

I have obviously missed something. So sorry to hear your daughter is unwell. Keep up with the small sips of water often. Praying that she makes a full recovery very soon and no one else in your family catches it.

PS Have you ever tried the hydration drinks you can get from your chemist or doctor. They hydrate the body with necessary salts etc during stomach illness. They have been prescribed to my boys in the past to stop them becoming dehydrated.
