Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good morning everyone, Merry Monday!
We got some Spring snow over night. It wasn't as much as they predicted but we still had to clean the cars & driveway and walkways. We're supposed to have temperatures in the 60's by Wednesday.
Not too much going on here today. I have to run to Rite Aid to pick up a couple of prescriptions. Other than that I have to tidy up the house and work on the laundry. I'm going to make baked raviolis and mozzarella garlic bread for dinner. That's about it for me.

Merry Monday!! We got about 3-4 inches of snow and my kids had a 2 hr delay. Just work today and I took 1/2 day off in the afternoon on Friday. Not sure what I am doing but my husband and kids are off so maybe we will go out to lunch or something. Hope you all have a good day!

Have a great Monday Holiday!! Wow that is a lot of stuff that your SIL had in her house.

Yep, 3 generations of things. Grandma lived & died in that house, her Mom lived & died in that house, & my SIL inherited the house - she lived there all of her life, only moving out when she went to college. Then she moved back to help take care of her mom who was battling cancer, she passed away. Then Grandma got sick with cancner, so she stayed to take care of her.... None of them threw anything away - ever!

As expected, it started to snow overnight, and we're expecting 3 to 6 inches before it's over. Schools in my area are delayed 2 hours, and the radio is reporting some spinouts and crashes on major highways, so I'm staying put and working from home for now. If they need me onsite later, I'll drive in when the snow is over and the driveway is clear. Also, my elbow is hurting again, so I'm not feeling ambitious or adventurous this morning.

It's good that you can work from home in such conditions. If I may ask, what happened to your elbow?

I just checked the weather here Merry..we have snow coming after 10pm tonite most of the week.

Everyone stay safe out there. A couple of weeks of nice weather and snow all melted and people suddenly seem to forget how to drive in wintery conditions. They're predicting 15cm of snow here on Thursday. There's still time for that to change (fingers crossed).

So one of the things that I want to do during my staycation is catch up on movies that are on my must-see list. I started with The Martian last night, which I absolutely loved. Tonight it will be The Big Short. I have a long list to get through.

So I skipped ahead to today's posts. Catching up wasn't working well!

We are lucky it's a four day week for Mr Festive and I this week and the next. Mr Festive's workplace is closed Fri-Mon. Mine is closed on Sunday and I am not in on Friday or Monday. The children also get Fri and Mon off which means Four day weekend for us!!!

We are excited for Easter and our mini break !!! How will you guys be spending Easter?

How awesome you all have a nice weekend! That will be great! It sounds like we will be having Easter with the in-laws on Saturday afternoon/supper, & my family celebrates at my sisters on Easter for supper. I'm making a double smoked ham! (and deviled eggs) for my sisters. Haven't heard what to bring to the in-laws yet!

My kids had a 2 hr delay this morning too. We got about 4 inches and they were talking about a lot of accidents/spin outs on the highway.

I'm not sure about when it will be done, I plan to inquire about it when we make our interior picks in early April, less than two weeks away!
When I wrote the offer, I set the closing date for August 3rd. I'm not sure if we'll change it or not just yet =]
We have to give 2 months notice at our rental, Adi has business trips/charity events in the months prior, and whatnot-so we may keep it.

Sounds wonderful Holiday. Easter feels a little bit like Christmas getting together with family and friends and celebrating with good food. That ham is going to be mouth watering I'm sure! I love ham. We are having fish on good Friday and lamb roast on Sunday. Enjoy your time.

Good morning!

A chilly start to the morning, but the sun is supposed to shine today so it should warm up to the low 40s. Yesterday was cold, but sunny. I had a monster of a headache to start the day, but it went away quickly and I was able to get quite a lot done. Lots more to do today. Off to a good start as I already prepped the cabbage so I can make Kimchi later this afternoon.

Adi is leaving this morning, we appreciate for the travel well wishes.
The weekend was nice, pretty laid back. He was actually away for some of it, but we had fun while he was home. Caught up on the DVR, ordered takeout.
Also went to check out the new house, lots of progress has been made!
Harlowe is doing well for the most part, she did end up getting sick a few times yesterday morning, but seems better now, thankfully.

How are you guys?

Safe travels to Adi! I'm happy to hear Har has been doing better, but poor girl, being sick yesterday. I hope today is a better day!!! xx I hope you all have a great week!

Good Monday Morning MMC! Happy Easter Week! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I can't complain cause I've had back to back 3 day weekends. Time to put in a couple of 5 day weeks before I get another long weekend in April. On Saturday evening I went to this show at a local arena and when I came out around 10PM to go back to my car (I left early to try to get to the lot to get out before many others left) I saw lots of cop cars and flashing lights. I was like wow what happened...looked like a scene out of a movie. I saw someone on a stretcher and realized a car had crashed. I got home to find out on the news that someone had hit a pedestrian who was crossing the intersection and killed them. Unbelievable. They said it happened literally within a few minutes of when I had left the arena so I almost saw it live (scary to even think about). Anyway as they say just appreciate everyday because life is crazy and we never know what will happen. Not to sound somber about it...but more just to appreciate today for what today is.
