Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday Eve!!!! Woot! I don't even mind that it's rainy again today....it's Friday Eve! (actually Friday for me, but I won't rub that in. Ha ha) I hope your all off to a good start this morning!

Had a pretty good night last night. I took Gracie for another walk after work. We got 4 miles in yesterday - I think that's the most miles Gracie has ever done in a day (on an actual walk - she probably gets that every day running around the yard. ha ha) I ran to the grocery for Emma, then visited with her & Mom. Got home & turned on the Pirates game & our neighbor Cory got in the game! It was SO exciting to see him on the mound again I nearly cried! It's been a long time coming for him! He did OK - his Mom sent me a text, she said "he did OK - he got his feet wet again!" Must have been nerve-wracking for him, I would think! Anyway, hopefully we'll be seeing more of him on TV!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I think I've had too much coffee.

Ok, ok, that sounded crazy to me, too.

I do have a headache coming on, but I think that's related to the crick in my neck. I need to go find some Aleve. That's good stuff! I used to like BC Powders, but they were causing me some tummy issues, so I quit with them. They sure do work, though!

I never cared for Dunkin..of course down South for many years Dunkins were scarce if any at all even. Our Dunkins were Krispy Kremes. Our local Starbucks wont even ask me what I want..they start making it when I walk in..lol. I adore their Iced Mocha coffees...(actually I would drink anything they offer..lol

I love their iced coffee. I don't really eat their donuts (the local supermarket makes bigger/better donuts than dunkin at half the price).

I was gonna say...TOO MUCH coffee...that's like saying we love Christmas TOO MUCH...impossible.

I love their iced coffee. I don't really eat their donuts (the local supermarket makes bigger/better donuts than dunkin at half the price).

Reminds me of Krispy Kreme donuts. They are good but so pricy here!! You get the same for 1/4 of the price elsewhere.

Its strange because for years in NC, Krispy Kreme was the cheapest anywhere. Our Starbucks were priced like your Dunkin Donuts drink prices up north. Dunkins in Jaxs, Nc are priced like the Starbucks in the north. $10.00 for a dozen donuts..4.00 for lg coffee etc..most of the Krispy K's are out of business down there..so you get the boxes in stores that are old

Good Thursday Morning MMC! TGIT! It's my Friday this week as I'm off tomorrow. Looking forward to another one of my specialty 3 day weekends. After that I will work the next 5 weeks before I have another day off. I am actually going in late today on purpose by an hour because I stayed an hour and a half late and the OT is cutting out from using my vacation time which is not good since I'm too close to the cap. So this morning I got up a little later and took it slow. Looks like it will be milder today before a chilly, borderline cold weekend with rain and snow showers. Enough already!

Good Morning, Folks.

Moving right along now, we find ourselves starting to approach two back-to-back Milestone markers. Details to follow.

First:
Days to the Season: 220
Days to Christmas Day: 262

And that first figure is correct. We are but 20 days away from the close of the 200's Season count numbers and the start of the 100's, hard though that may be to believe.
But the day before that, we enter the 2nd third of our Christmas Day count.
(Doesn't this all seem to be happening too soon??)


We had a cool one here yesterday, but with clear skies, no wind and a reduced pollen count, it wasn't really bad at all.
The rains finally arrived overnight and we have a wet start in front of us this morning, where the thermometer stands at 58 degrees here in the capital city.

Good morning everyone, Happy Thursday!
It's going to be windy today with showers/thunderstorms, highs near 57 degrees. Cooler temperatures will be back this weekend. I'm heading out in a little bit, Maggie has a groomer appointment. Typical day of errands and chores. I'm going to make chicken pot pies for dinner. Islander vs. Ranger game this evening. That's about it for me!
