Home from work early but not due to good circumstances. You won't believe the day I've had!!!!! I want to say more and would have if it was just you guys but it's a public forum.

My building was evacuated. A threat was made last Sunday apparently just after I finished work. My colleagues told me when I got in this morning so I was uneasy knowing what happened.

Then it happened all over again this evening. HORRIBLE! I am still shaking. This time we have been told even less.

My building is a historical landmark and it's always a worry.
So happy to be here safe with my family.
So sorry to hear about that, and so unfortunate that this is the time we live in, where these threats are prevalent. The same thing happened where Mr. was working shortly after 9/11 in 2001. I'm sorry you had to go through such a frightening experience.

Oh dear, I am glad to hear you are OK. That kind of stuff is always scary.
((((HUGS)))) for you. Hope they find who is doing it so it can stop.

(((Hugs)))
How horrible, and scary.
So glad you are safe!
Praying for you and the safety of all.

Me too! The authorities and Forensics Team have been dealing with it since last Sunday. Praying that nothing progresses and this is all nothing to worry about!

Thanks Merry. I think I just needed to let it out a little. We're not supposed to talk about it. They have managed to keep it from the press so far. That must have been frightening for Mister!! Horrible times indeed.

I recorded a test with my new microphone ... I dunno. It's nice and clear, but sounds less warm and intimate than the setup I was using. Sounds like a recording made during a college lecture, instead of like someone sitting next to you chatting. Maybe I can play with the positioning of it or use an equalizer setting or something, but I'm not real crazy about it. It IS easier to record directly into the computer, though ... it would save some time during the busy season, but ... we'll see.

I know nothing about these things so can't offer any advice :) I hope you find the right 'sound' and can get it exactly how you want it to be.

Have to leave shortly to visit my friend, hope you all continue to have a relaxing day !

Enjoy your visit and the rest of your sunday!

Good afternoon everyone!
Just thought I'd pop in to say hello, I have a few minutes to myself. I haven't had much alone time lately. It's not a bad thing lol, just haven't been able to post as much as I would like. My two oldest are working and my husband took my youngest car shopping. I'm having a cup of coffee, looking at some items on eBay. I've had my eye on a few items and decided to buy a couple of things, thought I'd share the pictures. My family doesn't appreciate them as much as I do but I know you guys will.
Two sets of vintage salt & pepper shakers. Winking Santas ~

And these cute poinsettia girls ~

Adorable HMG!

I just love anything vintage. Can't wait to get them!
We're heading back to my parents house today, they wanted to have us for dinner. I'm going to run to the bakery in a few minutes to pick up something for dessert. I'll pop back in tonight!

Had a great visit with an older cousin of mine who will be visiting with my parents for a week or so. He's hoping to hang around for my mom's surgery on the 15th of the month.

You may recall, I was concerned about her health for several months. A team of doctors dicussed her case and although the biopsy and tests seem to reveal that there is no more cancer in her colon, they're thinking the cells are there based on her condition and not showing up so they're going to remove part of her colon as a precaution. She seems to be handling it well and isn't worried at all about the procedure. "Better safe than sorry", she says.

Cleaning the fridge and stove this afternoon and just taking a moment to check in and wish you all a very merry Sunday.

Haven't spotted any Christmas trees thrown to the curb yet, that's when it hits me that the season has come to a close for most people. Going to take a drive during the week and grab some photos before the outdoor decorations come down.

My parents are leaving their tree up until Jan. 6th. I'm keeping some special ornaments and my Christmas music boxes out during the year for merry company.

Stay jolly, my friends!
