Happy New Year, Binger! But Happy New Year everyone. Here's to a countdown of friends.
Good afternoon everyone!
Just thought I'd pop in to say hello, I have a few minutes to myself. I haven't had much alone time lately. It's not a bad thing lol, just haven't been able to post as much as I would like. My two oldest are working and my husband took my youngest car shopping. I'm having a cup of coffee, looking at some items on eBay. I've had my eye on a few items and decided to buy a couple of things, thought I'd share the pictures. My family doesn't appreciate them as much as I do but I know you guys will.
Two sets of vintage salt & pepper shakers. Winking Santas ~

I just love anything vintage. Can't wait to get them!
We're heading back to my parents house today, they wanted to have us for dinner. I'm going to run to the bakery in a few minutes to pick up something for dessert. I'll pop back in tonight!
Home from work early but not due to good circumstances. You won't believe the day I've had!!!!! I want to say more and would have if it was just you guys but it's a public forum.
My building was evacuated. A threat was made last Sunday apparently just after I finished work. My colleagues told me when I got in this morning so I was uneasy knowing what happened.
Then it happened all over again this evening. HORRIBLE! I am still shaking. This time we have been told even less.
My building is a historical landmark and it's always a worry.
So happy to be here safe with my family.
Have a great night Minta!Good Afternoon.... Hubby and I just finished taking down the outside Christmas lights and decorations however we are leaving our icicle lights, light up reindeer and snowman out until the beginning of March. Its to dreary to take all the lights downs right after Christmas so a few years ago we starting leaving "Winter" lights up and on.
Yesterday we scored more red bows and Christmas ornaments for 75% offgoing to check out the stores near my work during my lunch breaks this week to see what other deals I can find. Speaking of work .. today is my last day of my vacation, enjoyed the last 2 weeks off.
Well I am going to work on dinner. Hope everyone has a great night!
Goodnight, friend!Good night MMC....back to the grind tomorrow and kids back to school....hopefully the morning will not be too bad! Hope you all have a restful sleep!View attachment 18189
Those are great, congrats on your eBay finds.
Great finds HMG! Hope you had a nice dinner!
They look amazing!!!!!!Walked around the Mall of America for 5hrs today. When walking on the main concourse, they still had Christmas music playing and a bunch of stores had Christmas stuff in them!! That helped with my PCB's. Saw these at a store. Made me wish I didn't have the money concerns I do.

They played music and things moved inside. I have this feeling I won't ever find them again.

Glad you had a nice time sugar!!!Good evening, MMC! We had a great evening celebrating with my family for our last Christmas. It was great to get together with my extended family. I don't get to see them as much as I would like, so it was nice to spend the time with them.

Good Morning, Folks.
Well, we got back late last night, so I am able to post today's count numbers:
Days to the Season: 315
Days to Christmas Day: 357
And wonder of wonders, as of tomorrow, we will be down to just TWO WEEKS until the first Milestone of 2016, the 300-day Season Window!
(And this wonder is courtesy of our Christmas Season 2016 count silently running all during Christmas Season 2015.)
THANKS once again to Brent for covering for me yesterday. And on such short notice, too.
(Don't we have the most fantastically devoted members here!)
Well, we have decidedly entered winter territory now with a low this morning of 36 degrees. And while the high today is supposed to reach the mid 50's, tomorrow's may barely rise above 40, with temps in the 20's expected shortly.
(Well, hey. It is January after all!)
You have a Sensational Saturday, Everyone!
Good Sunday Morning MMC! Well I guess I had a little bit of the PCB'S finally last evening. I just felt a little bored though and maybe that's why I got them? It wasn't that bad though. Years ago I used to get them far worse. MMC helps a lot in really keeping those away. Plus to be honest (and please nobody throw things at me for saying this) but I actually feel ready to go back to work. I feel like that I've been off a month and I really do like where I work, the people I work with, etc. I'm not dreading it and I'm looking at it as exciting to begin a new year being at work basically every week for the next 50 weeks and how each week I go to work it's just a journey back to our favorite time of year. Time goes so fast that I don't even want to rush it because it goes so fast as it is that it's scary. I'm gonna watch the Jets today to see if we can win to get in the playoffs.
I hope you guys have a great SUNDAY as most of us go back to our routines tomorrow. Think about all the fun we've had and all the fun we'll have throughout the whole year here!
Happy Sunday Mmc![]()
Goodmorning MMC!! Hope everyone has a beautiful Sunday whether you're working, with family or watching games/movies.
Today is the first day in Florida since last February that the weather has been nice enough to open some windows and sit outside. To me it's ideal. Gray, overcast and about 55. Accuweather says realfeel is 49, but I don't agree. LOL A bit breezy with a light drizzling rain.
I'm sitting on my back porch carving some wood pieces and can see neighbors leaving their homes bundled up like it was the Arctic circle and they were watching out for polar bears. LOL
It's a good distraction from the PCBs. All of our decorations are still up so it's a nice way to end the season with some weather that feels like Christmas.
Back to work.
Last lazy day before back to school tomorrow. Luckily no school work to do today, I made sure everything was ready to go before I started Christmas break. Today's plan, watch my Cleveland Browns play, and probably lose, to the Steelers. Pick-up the house a bit, relax and make sure the kids are ready to go back tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a great Sunday!
Oh my! Praying you all stay safe out there!!!Hey everybody!!! So, it's Sunday, my son has headed off back home (3 hour drive) and please find attached a pic of my road into work; it has until Tuesday to sort itself out (that's when I need it!) I would be best suited to this weather if I were a duck!!!!!!!! According to the forecasts, it's due to keep going until at least Wednesday - maybe I'll buy a canoe!!!! Will keep the decorations up until tomorrow but will put everything away before heading back to work on Tuesday. It was fun while it lastedI'm now going to focus on small goals every month. For example, I have a 2 day first aid refresher course this week, then I'm stage managing for a drama festival in February and we'll see about March but it's good to have something to look forward to and to count with - you know what I mean??!! Catch you all later - have a lovely Sunday!!
I'm also looking forward to gardening season. Every year when it's over we think "thank God we are done with that!" But by January we are looking forward to the next one!! Love getting all the catalogs in the mail! Now that the new year has started I'm turning my attention to my garden season my calendar really only has two seasons fall and Christmas season and gardening season . All new plans this year under way can't wait to get started. then once the pumpkins start growing I'm already thinking about fall ..
Funny thing this afternoon - the local tavern/restaurant we go too had a "Super Bowl" party today. They had on their FB page it was the last Browns game of the season, must be the superbowl!Maybe the Packers will have a big run in the playoffs and keep you happy till Feb 7 in the Superbowl.
