Christmas Countdown - 2016

Merry afternoon all! My first check in today thus far.

Hope everyone is well and getting along in whatever weather you're living in. PCBs hit hard this morning as I took the trash can to the road for Monday morning pick up services and saw that most of my neighbors finally took everything down over the weekend, the school bus stopped to pick up the kids and more neighbors were enroute to work.

Listening to carols as I work, my decorations are still up and in about 30 minutes I'll be working on an Epiphany gift for my son's girlfriend. LOL It's her first Epiphany gift or being around people who celebrate anything past December 25th. She's too cute. "You do?? You really have ANOTHER day you celebrate part of Christmas season??"

Last night she came in, the carols were still on and the tree and fireplace were all lit up. She exclaimed, "I LOVE THIS HOUSE!!!!" ROFL She cracks me up.

That's awesome! You guys are really making a Christmassy impression on her!

It was so real this morning, driving into work. I worked last week, but only for a few days.
I stopped and took a photo of a beautiful church over lunch. It was so lovely, with it's Christmas wreath- made me smile.

Unfortunately it was pretty much done by the time I got home for lunch. But Gracie was SO excited. She ran around eating as much snow as she could (on our driveway) & she ran around....got snow stuck in her pads & all over. I'm not sure how she found so much. LOLShe was ready for some snow!!! By the time I came back it was all melted from the sidewalk/driveway.

Actually I thought he did reply right around Christmas Eve or Day? I could have sworn he did and some people even said they were relieved to see him. But it was only one post I believe.

Could somebody verify this? I keep a close eye on the Countdown, and I haven't seen a post from gabulldawg since that last frightening one, nor a post from anyone who heard from him. I HAVE seen a few posts in past months from a few who said they tried to get in touch with him by various means, but got no reply.

I was wondering if MMC is still using Tapatalk? I love the new layout that makes the forum mobile friendly in a device browser! That's great! Though - I haven't yet found a way for current updates, replies and recent post feeds for notification. I also haven't had time yet to go through the new set up to see if I can set the forum to send me text notifications, etc, so my apologies if I'm jumping the gun in asking.
I actually had Tapatalk on my phone JUST for the MMC feed in 2013 and beginning of 2014. LOL

Okay, either this bronchitis needs to go away or it needs to warm up. This cold air is not agreeing with my lungs at all right now.

Oh no!!! Hope you get better quick.

We got just a slight dusting overnight but it's pretty much gone now. It sounds like next week could get interesting.

I saw COLD for next week!!!!

I am, but any time I go outside, I start coughing like crazy again for a few hours.

Good morning everyone ~
My husband heads back to work today and we will all settle back in to our normal routines. It's going to be a busy day for me. My youngest was not feeling well last night so I'm going to call her doctor as soon as they open and see if I can get her in. I also have to drive my mother to an eye doctor appointment this afternoon. And I need to run to the florist to order flowers. We have to attend a wake this evening, my daughters boyfriends Uncle passed away. He had Leukemia and was only 53 years old. So sad.
I will be on the run most of the day but will pop in when I get a chance.

Merry - I missed the frightening one due to my low activity last year. If I may ask, what happened?

There has not been any recent activity coming up on his profile and his last post recorded is still saying Feb 24 so I doubt it but want so badly to be wrong.

The last post recorded would be conclusive, unless someone has heard from him outside of MMC. Last I heard, no one had, in spite of several attempts to locate him.

I have wondered too! I know he's active military, so I thought maybe he is deployed. I miss him!

He has been deployed before, and he always let us know in the Countdown.
His last post was about his really, really not feeling well---that's why the silence since has given me cold chills. If only we knew.
