Just stopping by real quick to say HI!!! Been busy doing things with the family and dress shopping with my daughter for her school dance that is coming up. She got a real cute floor length dress. They are calling for some major snow this weekend... I am thinking that would be a perfect time to do some baking and watch a Christmas movie or 2.

Merry Tuesday! I had to go pick up my broken computer this morning from our home office. The parts they ordered for my screen are on back order but I need to get some stuff done for work today so I have to bring I back up there on Thursday. It is so cold out and my youngest daughter has basketball practice and then I was going to run to the grocery store...we are down to bare bones! Have a good day..I am getting ready to make a cup of hot choc..I cannot warm up!

Tip for villages: I have used a dresser top and a file cabinet that was about a drawer's height lower for my villagescape. The difference in height I made into a hill like the one in my hometown.

Yep, the basement was optional to finish. It will be our large family room, we are adding a stone fireplace, utility room, full bathroom, and 3rd bedroom =]

I never understood that. I always have enough milk and bread for several days at a time if not longer in my fridge. Why do people run out and act like they're going to be locked up for a week in their homes?

I just brought some yarn over to my Mom. She is going to crochet an afghan for my in-laws new house. She called last night & said she finished the afghan she was working on if I wanted to bring the yarn over. I figured today would be a good day to get it to her since it's so cold & she's "not allowed" to go out today! I'm a little jealous of her sitting in the cozy tv room crocheting today.

I'm jealous, too!
(Add to winter storm shopping list: Yarn. I'm liable to run out of the color I need to keep working on my current afghan this weekend! I've been buying it a couple skeins at a time.)

I finally figured out what's causing my posting delays. Every time I refresh a page on MMC, or change to another page, there is a long pause before I can post. If I click "Like" on someone else's post before that pause is finished, it takes me to another page where it asks if I'm sure I want to "like" that post.

For some reason, it's taking time to load the little icons for the different players for Kringle Radio. I think my work is blocking whatever site hosts those images, but it takes time for MMC to finally give up trying to load them on my display. When it finally gives up, I can post as usual...until I go to the next page.

When I take my laptop home, it works great, and those little images show up. It even works fine for a few pages when I bring the laptop back to work. Then the images get blocked again.

Ack! I know there's nothing to do about it. I'm just glad to have finally tracked down my culprit. I hate being fooled by a computer!

Are you sure there's nothing that can be done? Let Jeff know what's going on. Maybe there IS a fix or a work-around.

P.S. Isn't there a browser setting that you can choose to not load graphics? Not ideal, but it could help?
