His phone interview went well ... it was to be about 15 minutes, but they talked to him for about half an hour. His interviewer was going to talk to some other people in the company to see if they wanted to talk to him in person, but there's been no word yet. However ... last week one of his temp agencies put him in for a temp-to-possible-perm contract. He had to go into Boston to test for it, and they were so impressed with his test that they called the agency a few hours later to say they wanted him. Pending some paperwork on the client's end, he should be starting in a couple weeks. After 15 months of day-here, day-there, no-work-today, a steady contract with the possibility of being hired is great news!BTW, how did his interview go?
Nice that 2 of your daughters don't have to work this weekend. Safe travels for your oldest! Enjoy the visit with your mom today!! I'm coming for supper too!Good morning everyone!
Merry Pines Day!
It's going to be a bit warmer today, we'll have sun and clouds with a high of 35 degrees. I just found out that two of my girls have off this weekend, so happy I don't have to worry about them driving in the snow. Just have to deal with my oldest getting to work. Hopefully it won't be too bad. I'm going to take a ride to Target today to pick up a few things. I'm also going to stop at the pet store for ice melt. My mother is stopping by later this afternoon for a visit. Other than that I'll be working on my daily chores. Spaghetti and meatballs for dinner tonight. That's about it for me!
Hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!
For me, I think humour is also a special ingredient.
Brad was only jokingI bet you make Nancy laugh all the time and that's priceless.

It sounds amazing snowflake!! Nice to have so much storage space too! I can picture the cozy fireplace & big screen! I think you are going to LOVE it! I can't wait to see pics!! So exciting!!Very nice! That makes sense
We're so excited to have a basement!!!
We've never had one in the homes we've owned together. Vegas homes didn't have them.
It's kind of the opposite of what we rent right now, we don't use our basement family room there too much. We're just down there mostly because our master is there.
Our big screen is upstairs, along with the fireplace.
But at the new house, we'll have the big creen down there along with the fireplace. Adi's office will be down there, as well. We'll probably do a lot of entertaining there, as it will be the largest living area.
And there's 450 sq. ft. of storage, which will come in handy.
Our master bedroom and a guest room will be upstairs.
We end up hanging out in the kitchen/breakfast bar area a lot, too =]
Thanks HMG.
See you tonight!!
I'm coming over for dinner!
Great news that the girls don't have to be at work. Safe travels to your eldest.
Have fun with you mum and goodluck with your errands and chores.
Congrats! Temp-to perm is how I started at this job. A lot of people get jobs that way.His phone interview went well ... it was to be about 15 minutes, but they talked to him for about half an hour. I think you may be right!
I worked some on mine too last night. It's a pattern with a lot of front and back crosses, and has a panel of evergreen trees in the center. It's VERY thick and warm, and I'm about halfway through, so it keeps me warm as I work on it! Here's a detail from the pattern:

Well it works for us! My husband and I are both jokers. We can laugh at ourselves and each other. There is an immense sense of comfort and security that comes with that I think. We suit each other perfectly!Laughter is the best medicine, ever!

How exciting!!Afternoon all,
My two autumn houses have just arrived along with a vintage wooden rocking horse!
This is a photo of the horse. It's pretty big. I'm thinking about placing him near the Christmas tree. He looks a lot nicer in person. The details and wood carving is beautiful.

It's turned out to be a gorgeous winter day with clear blue skies and sunshine. I was tempted to go for a walk but work beckoned. Almost time to pick up my sons and then home to prepare dinner.
