Ya know what HMG? I've learned over the years when they hype a storm too much it usually fizzles out. Last January remember that blizzard around this time they were saying 2 feet and we got like 6 inches and the weathermen were all making excuses about it. This time the way they were very careful saying it might stay south and we might not get that much I had a feeling we were gonna get hammered. The storm moved supposedly 50-75 miles farther north than was forecast is was my local guy said. So I'm with your area now in the heavy snowbands. Be safe today HMG!

Yes I know they do. They can definitely give us a heads up ahead of time of a possible storm a week out they were mentioning it. I live in Westchester. I'm guessing you live close to NYC cause if you live far out on the Island that's very far from me. I once went out to the middle of Long Island and it took me over 2 hours to get there from here lol. It's LONG Island afterall.
 
Happy Saturday MMC... I was up so early this morning no idea why but I slept very soundly. My daughter has a basketball game this morning at 10. They said that the storm has moved north so we are now getting close to 12 inches or so. I think it is supposed to start around mid day or so. We are just going to hang out and relax. Have a good day all and those in the storm stay safe!

Hey folks! Quite a bit of snow here already-not sure how much but nobody is driving at all in our neighborhood. Snow is still falling with maybe four or so more inches to come. Hope everyone has a great Saturday, and everyone in the path of the storm stays safe!

I'm not that close to the city. I'm all the way out in Suffolk County so I guess you're at least a couple of hours away from me.
Yes, that's why they call it LONG Island, lol.

Hi How are you? Are you in the path of the storm/blizzard?
Hope you enjoyed your Friday night and your delicious pizza and curds dinner. I am sure you did.

Went to bed feeling quite unwell but woke up this morning with a drastic improvement. Thankfully I started some meds yesterday at the first sign so it has made a difference. I have been having an easy day today :)
