That's me!
I finished the Yule Tree afghan yesterday, but didn't feel well enough to wrestle it around and weave in all the "tails." After I do, I'll take a photo of it to post. I think it came out well. Trying to figure out what to make next. I just puttered around with making some granny squares from scraps yesterday evening. Maybe it's time for another "triple feature" afghan.

Evening all,
I am behind a lot with posts and was only able to check in now and then today. It's been manic today. Luckily I slept pretty well. I had this dream about Marie (my husbands grandmother who passed away recently).I woke up and couldn't really remember anything. I wonder what she was trying to tell me.

Hope your having a good day so far!

Wow - it's nice to have a (good) dream about a deceased loved one.
Hope your day is going well!

Things have settled down here since grans funeral Holiday...Come on over for some lasagna and garlic bread...Plenty here to go around:)
On my way!!!
I'm glad to hear things are settling down some! Continued thoughts & prayers.

Hmm she probably just wanted to let you know that she's ok (that's my guess). But it's interesting how things happen like that after someone passes. I will never forget my mom calling me the day after my grams passed while I was at work and we started talking about her. Suddenly my mom said the t.v. is changing channels by itself and it stopped on the news that my grandmother watched every day. Coincidence? I think not.
Wow!! Like others said *Chills*

Good Afternoon, friends~

Adrian and I have an appointment today in our new neighborhood to decide on placement for our transom window and fireplace, and also to take some measurements. We are excited!

It is a beautiful winter day filled with glittery snow flurries, sun, and fog.

Hope your Monday is going well!

*Hugs & prayers*

How exciting snowflake!!!! Good luck!!! xx
Love the photo!

Thank you!
The theater where I saw my first movie had curtains about that shade of maroon. But I've also made one or two in blue, one that was a sort of peach color, and one that is a golden tan color. Most of the others are maroon.

Thank you! I made two or three "prototypes" before I figured out how to make the sprocket holes and how to piece together the horizontal and vertical pieces. Then I took notes, and pretty much stick to them when I make a new one. I think I've made close to 20 of them for various film-collector friends of ours, including one for a film-festival auction and a couple for our own use. Somewhere I have a notebook that lists where each one went.

I entered one in a county fair some years ago, and it didn't even get an honorable mention. A garden-variety granny-square afghan won the blue ribbon. I kept the "loser" for myself and use it on the bed.
Those judges didn't know beauty when they saw it! And that's awesome that you designed it. Extra special!

Thank you! I enjoyed working the Yule Tree pattern more than I thought I would. It has a lot of stitches crossing in front of and behind each other.

Mr. said the same thing about the judges. Actually, what he said was, "The fix was in!"

Thank you, Holiday!
It was really good to be in a model like ours, again. Adi & I both commented on that.
It has been a few months, and the last one we were in, some kind folks were gracious enough to let us look around as they were moving in. But their boxes were everywhere, and it was hard to gage space and look at outlets, and try to plan in our mind how we would arrange & decorate, etc.
xx

Fun, fun!!
It was! Adrian was doing a lot of measuring, and I took a bunch of photos.

We are definitely looking forward to spring cleaning some more, and getting rid of things we no longer need, use, or want. Some things are treasured, and some are just taking up space. We need to de-clutter.

And yes, that does happen. :confused:The more I'm getting done on the afghan I'm working on, the more I'm liking it! :)
