Thanks everyone. The storm has passed and the sun is now shining. My oldest was sent home early so we're just waiting on my husband now. I hope everyone dealing with this wintry weather stays safe.

I was out shoveling about an hour before sunset ... the sky was a slate gray, but low-angle sunlight was shining on the snowy treetops. It was a beautiful scene! Mr. got home just as I was finishing, so he saw a bit of it too.

Quick update - My SIL is in hospice care at the moment. She is on 100% oxygen. They are thinking she will go home early next week. My oldest sister is going to visit either tomorrow or Sunday afternoon. I reluctantly offered to go along only b/c I know how my SIL is about company - & indeed my sis said my sil would probably have a fit if someone else shows up! Visiting angels have agreed to help her, IF she agrees to having them there. Such a sad life!

She did have some pep during her walk in the snow for a few minutes.

Snowflake wanted me to let you guys know that they didn't do the operation on Harlowe. The x rays and tests showed some fluid on her lungs and that her heart was enlarged. So they didn't want to risk it. They gave her meds to help with everything and will redo the tests in s couple of weeks. If there is improvements then, they will go ahead with the surgery. Adrian was going to pick her now.

She's asking if everyone could please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

They are in my thoughts.
