Well, I just talked to Har's vet. She has A LOT of the bad bacteria in her, I can't remember the different names. It can be stress induced, illness induced, or something she came in contact with. She needs to go on antibiotics immediately. I will pick them up tonight, I pray I can get her to take them.

Aw, poor Har. Praying the antibiotics work, and quick! (((HUGS)))

It is getting quite cold here in Ohio over the weekend. They keep talking about the possibility of snow on Sunday and Monday. Then they change their minds and so little or no snow, then back to several inches. I guess I will just wait until Sunday and Monday and see what happens. I am hoping for good size snowfall as we have had so little snow this year.

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great day.
I am still recovering from being sick on Monday. I feel better today, but I have no voice now. Glad we have today off from school. Trying to teach without a voice is a bit difficult.

Thanks Sam. We are not on the best of terms with the animal hospital so I'm not sure what to expect. I haven't gotten a response all day and doubt I will hear from them over the weekend. I will definitely follow up with a phone call first thing Monday morning.

Good evening, friends~
We have had a GOOD night!
I came home and my girl was still a little shaky, but ate a treat in front of me. Good prequel to the rest of the night so far. Then we went outside and I was hoping she'd walk past the driveway, which she did, so we went on a walk. We went the whole way around our neighborhood this time, with her leading me. She seemed to enjoy sniffing & investigating the other scents again. Another good sign.
Then we came home and unpacked her care package from our friends. She seemed curious, so I cut up the hamburger and started the stove. We threw in some of the beef broth from Michelle and Gracie, and she was interested in it cooking the whole time. Another yeah! moment.
I let her smell the fork I was using, which got her even more interested. Then while I was cutting it up, I gave her just enough to stay interested. Then I took her new medicine (thank God it's small) and wrapped it in some hamburger, and hand fed it to her.! She didn't even realize.
{So ecstatic because I've done that before & she always detected it, little stinker.}
She ate pretty darn well considering she's eaten so little in the past five days.
She even got a little spunky afterwords, so I know that food gave her a little bit of energy and strength. Yay!!!!!!!
Like I said earlier, we have a long road ahead but at least we can face it head on when she's stronger.

We are in a cold rut here.
Day after day. It doesn't change.
Today's installment comes in at 28 degrees and it won't get past the mid 30's all day. Frozen precipitation of some kind is predicted for later today as well, to spice things up a bit.


Regardless, it is Weekend Eve and we are all set to have a Fabulous Friday, right?

I even have my elf slippers on today,wife is gunna try out a new sugar cookie recipe today. Hope its not another failure,she likes cunchy sugar cookies and I like the soft puffy kind. Doesnt matter though cause they all turn out so/so.

Not much new to report on Mom. She's doing a little better. Still very weak. Not coughing quite as much. She will be in the hospital all weekend & will probably go somewhere after for rehab. Her sister is in there now with her in ICU. She has pneumonia too! My sister said her & my cousins were having a party in ICU last night. HA! (not really funny, but.... LOL... I could think of better places to get together with them! ) They have had mom up walking a few times now, with a walker. My bro was there this morning & mom told the nurse "I'm just so weak" Poor lady! She was snuggled in for a nap when my bro left. I'll head up there this afternoon before I leave to pick up my sis from the airport.

Happy Milestone Day!
Can't believe it's after 11:00 here already. I couldn't log on here this morning and then I got caught up in the morning rush. Everyone is up and out and I have to get started on my daily chores and run a few errands.
I filed a discipline complaint months ago with the New York State Office of The Professions against the veterinarian that diagnosed Molly. They finally contacted me yesterday, I have to go to the animal hospital to request Molly's records. Not looking forward to reliving all of this again but I want them to investigate this doctor.
It's supposed to get super chilly this weekend but then we'll warm up to almost 50 degrees by Tuesday!
I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

The server was down this morning and it put me way behind on what I had to do for work. Since I didn't know how long it would be down, I did a few other things to make up for the loss and now I find I am a bit ahead. Not sure how that happened, but yay!

All of our neighbors are fantastic! Love them! They would bend over backwards to help! So glad we live where we do. Sounds like you have wonderful peeps surrounding you too!
Just gave a little update on mom above. She's hanging in there! Baby steps. She's got a slow process ahead to get her strength back.
Honestly, I haven't heard anything on my SIL since she came home. Everybody's been updating on mom, I'm hoping no news is good news! I'm sure my sis will make a trip to see her sometime over the weekend & we'll get an update. Thanks for asking!

Yes, we really have a great group of friends in the neighborhood, going to miss them when we leave.
Of course we'll still see them, just not as often. Harlowe will miss her buddies, too.

I plan to stay inside where it's warm! With the exception when Har and I go for our walks, we'll be inside by the fireplace =] I have so many things that I need to catch up on around the house, plus I want to give Harlowe lots of love and affection.

Well we finished the course of antibiotics and he seemed to making an improvement and then suddenly reverted back. We started him on a Ventolin inhaler a couple nights ago that the Dr. prescribed. That was a drama trying to get him to use it as it came with a face chamber. I had to force it on him which I hated doing. But he got used to the idea after that and even uses it himself now (Amen). It seemed to give him some relief the first night as he managed a few hours steady sleep until the cough flared again. Last night even the inhaler didn't do much. He also has a nasal congestion which is not improving and this makes it more difficult to breathe when the coughing fit starts . This worries us. I can't sleep because I am constantly checking on him.

I'm sorry to hear that, Sam. That has to be so hard, for him and you. Bless his heart.
