Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good Morning, friends~

Merry Monday!

I have been up half the night worrying about Adi getting home safely.
He thought he may miss his second flight, then it was delayed, and then he had an hour & a half commute home in the middle of the night. As I was laying down to sleep, a weather alert came on my phone warning for icy roads. Ugh. So relieved he's here.

Now I want to just crawl back in bed & sleep!

Harlowe seemed to have a rough day yesterday, this infection is a bear. Bless her heart. She eventually ate, and still drank, just not as much as the few days prior. Her stomach was too upset. I really wish I could take the pain for her. Please keep her in your prayers.

Good morning!

My goodness it was cold this past weekend. Ended up staying home on Saturday as I didn't want to leave Palmer home alone in such conditions. The furnace has been sounding funny and since it is barely off before it comes back on, I thought it best to hang around just in case something happened. She appreciated my being there very much.
Yesterday I had twice as many things to get done, but other than forgetting to buy coffee filters, I accomplished everything. Busy, busy day. I think I moved faster than normal as it was so cold.

Projects are on tap for today and should make the day fly by.

Good evening and Happy Valentine's Day!

I am finally all caught up after being behind all week, I was beginning to get caught up last night and I fell asleep.
We aren't celebrating Valentine's today, my wife and I will be celebrating it a little later this week. We are going away for a night without the boys for the first time since 2009 when we went to Chicago for a wedding. We are looking forward to it to say the least.
I went out with my BIL and a friend today and saw Deadpool, it was awesome, funny and pretty violent.
It is -5*f outside right now, it reached 8*f for the high. It is the first time since 2005 the temps didn't get out of the single digits in a single day. Snow tomorrow, then temps in the 50's on Tuesday. Go figure?

Its been brutal here for 2 days now. High wind, temp at noon today was 3°. Snow yesterday and very little road work done made driving today on packed down roads such a delight. Other than that it was a great Valentines Day. Hope everyone had fun.

Merry Monday.

I have been watching the news about the cold temps over the US this morning. So cold in some parts dogs are sticking to the ground when walking apparently! Goodness!
They say it's crossing over to us this week on top of our Arctic wind and freezing fog.

@Bradmac - Glad to hear your brother is doing better.

@snowflake22 - Pleased to hear there has been some improvement for Har. Continued prayers for her to continue on this path. Hope you're also feeling better. Yay for Monday because I know Adi is back today!

Good morning everyone, Happy Monday!
Not too much going on here today. I'm going to run to Target to pick a a few things. Back home afterward to work on some chores around the house. We're expecting some snow today, just a couple of inches. I'm going to make a big pot of Italian Wedding Soup for dinner. That's about it for me. Also very happy this morning that it is a warmer -19°C (-2°F), compared to yesterday, where it was a brutal -37°C (-34°F) because of harsh winds.

day off here in Ontario for most people, stores, banks etc. closed. That means I get a full extra day for packing and cleaning.
Right now I am just relaxing with a mug off tea and thinking about what needs yet to be done.
