Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good morning!

My goodness it was cold this past weekend. Ended up staying home on Saturday as I didn't want to leave Palmer home alone in such conditions. The furnace has been sounding funny and since it is barely off before it comes back on, I thought it best to hang around just in case something happened. She appreciated my being there very much.
Yesterday I had twice as many things to get done, but other than forgetting to buy coffee filters, I accomplished everything. Busy, busy day. I think I moved faster than normal as it was so cold.

Projects are on tap for today and should make the day fly by.

Very cold across much of the northeast and eastern half of the country. I'm hoping that's the coldest we'll feel until 2017!

Good Monday Morning MMC! Happy Presidents Day! Well it's not a holiday for me but if you are off today enjoy it for me. I really could use some 3 day weekends. But I have to wait until Thursday March 10th to head into my first one as I'm off back to back Fridays the 11th and 18th. Not terribly far away. 14 days of Feb behind us and 14 ahead of us with today being the middle day. I never want to wish time away especially as I get older but I really will not be sad to see February leave us. It was brutal out yesterday. I ran 2.5 miles and got back in my car. I will admit that it was cold even for a hardcore runner like me. I was the only one out and saw people drive by that looked at me and probably made comments to the effect of "What's wrong with that guy?" Putting it nicely I bet lol...ahh well a busy day at work for me so this Monday should go quickly and I'll be relaxing with Nitro and some leftover goodies (donuts and such) from my uncles last night.

Adi just got home! So thankful. I hate leaving Har today, but know she's in good hands.

Poor Adi though, they lost his luggage. It has been found, but he won't get it back until later in the week.

Thank goodness Adi got home safely. That is rubbish about the luggage! What is it with airlines ALWAYS losing luggage. They lost Mum's the last couple times she flew too. Hope it is back with him safe soon. I am sure he could have done without the hassle. So glad he's back and home with Har while you are at work. Hope she will continue improving. You hang in there and keep courage. She will come through this (((HUGS)) Keep me posted.

I am okay. I think the infection has cleared up as the swelling, size and pain have reduced enormously. But something is still there which I will need to se the Dr, about if it doesn't go.

We have been continuing with the Ventolin inhaler with Isaac and the cough is imrproving. He slept through all night! I am glad we can stay warm indoors this week because I feel like this will help him to improve a lot. The cold and freezing fog can't be good for his lungs. Severe cold all of this week Eeek !

Good morning everyone, Happy Monday!
Not too much going on here today. I'm going to run to Target to pick a a few things. Back home afterward to work on some chores around the house. We're expecting some snow today, just a couple of inches. I'm going to make a big pot of Italian Wedding Soup for dinner. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day <3

Also very happy this morning that it is a warmer -19°C (-2°F), compared to yesterday, where it was a brutal -37°C (-34°F) because of harsh winds.

day off here in Ontario for most people, stores, banks etc. closed. That means I get a full extra day for packing and cleaning.
Right now I am just relaxing with a mug off tea and thinking about what needs yet to be done.

Sorry to hear that that's been happening with your Mum, as well. So frustrating.

Marker 3 is, of course, the 300 day Christmas Day point after which we will be in a double 200's level count sequence.
And we will reach that Milestone just TWO WEEKS from today!


After yet another very cold day yesterday, we are due for a respite.
That may come today or tomorrow, but will be accompanied by precipitation, some of which has already started to fall as light sleet.
We are at another chilly 26 degrees here, currently.

Yes and at least if is to be removed, it should be simpler now as the infection as cleared. Praise God.

I just saw a fat grey squirrel on a branch outside the window eating an apple !! It looked like something out of a story book. Of course as soon as I reached for the camera he skipped off.

He's become a regular in the garden but I haven't seen him since Autumn.

You're welcome Sam. And thank you. I just hung up with the animal hospital, they said the records can be picked up this morning. My husband is on a job in the city so it looks like I have to go get them. My heart is already racing, I hate to go back there.
The Italian wedding soup is delicious, it has little meatballs and spinach in it. So good!
I'm glad you're feeling better. I will continue to keep you and Isaac in my prayers ♥
