Afternoon all,
I'm about to bake some winter spice muffins and watch a movie. It is miserable out so I am glad to be cosy indoors today.

Been a good day so far. The car failed it's annual MOT though. It's in the garage until Tuesday till the repairs are done. Not sure if we are doing the right thing investing more into it . We have spent so much on it recently already!! Ah well it's just a car.

PS Calling all members of the Unexpected Expenses committee! Bring tea and biscuits! :D

Hope you are all enjoying an easy going Saturday!

I had my car at the garage this week Festive but not for an MOT...It cost me £180 for a water pump and belt..At £32 an hour labour costs its shocking...My car is due an MOT next month so not looking forward to that at all..But they do say thats the joy of Motoring 'Right'...I'l pop over for a muffin and a cuppa tea later buddy;)

Does O'Malley favor the Broncos or the Panthers?
(Before you ask, remind him that after all, he IS a cat.)

I was cheering for the Broncos; O'Malley was going for the Panthers - as you figured he would.

Good Saturday Morning MMC! Another weekend has arrived! It's late February but the local weatherman says the temps we have today will be more normal for early-mid April! I'll take it! I know we'll still get some chilly weather but as long as it keeps warming up every few days the rest of the winter I'm happy with it. Not sure where this week went but it flew. Have a lot of grocery shopping, errands etc. to do this weekend. Eh it's ok though I enjoy some of that. Plus it's beautiful weather so I'd rather be out a little more this weekend than the last one where it was -32 wind chill when I woke up on Sunday. What a change a week makes! Enjoying a bagel for breakfast here.
Hope you all have the best weekend you've had so far this year!

We're experiencing a warmer day than usual today and the roads are quite slushy and several small pond-size puddles have formed in many places.
The cat predicted an early Spring. We can judge these things on whether or not O'Malley caves under the bed or behind the sofa on Groundhog's Day. If he doesn't "cave", it usually means we'll have an early Spring. We had our coldest day of the year last Saturday with -37 (which is close to -40C or F). Brrrr!

Good morning!
Happy Saturday!
Not too much going on here today, my husband and oldest are working. My youngest has off, she'll be working on an assignment. My middle one is home as well, she's not feeling well. She has a sinus infection, I hope the antibiotics kick in soon. I know that can be painful. I'm heading out in a few minutes, I have to go food shopping. Back home afterward to work on some chores around the house. Just a typical day for me.
I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

There have been oodles of various "bugs" around here, but they haven't touched me yet. I rarely ever get sick. My boss was reviewing my vacation and sick days early in January to see if she had missed anything, alas she didn't have a record of my sick days because I hadn't taken any. She was surprised, but pleased at the same time.
I have had an off again on again migraine for five weeks, but I think it's just from the intensity of my fitness routine and my overactive brain. It's too bad today.
Hope the sinus infection clears up soon; that's the only type of thing that seems to hit me, but mainly when my allergies kick in during June and August.

I have my vehicle serviced regularly. I don't have to bring it in until April, but I'm sure I'll bring it in sooner, I want to change the oil and rotate the tires, check the fan belt - it's starting to make a squeal starting up, but not constant) and give it a once over. Based on the year of my car, I think it due for a safety in 2017. By servicing it regularly, the guys at the autobody wouldn't let me drive it if there was anything wrong anyway. I hope it stays mild this week, I'd like to take it to the car wash.

Not much going on here today, I've already been out shopping for my mom's birthday gift. We'll celebrate next Sunday, but her birthday isn't until the following Tuesday.
My husband is out grabbing a few groceries and picking up the laundry - I love sending it out, we should have done that years ago. It's too much work for him and I certainly don't feel like I have time for it.
I've gone down another clothing size so I had to buy new pants and tops for work.
We're having ham and sweet potatoes for dinner tonight and taking it easy.
Enjoy the weekend my merry chums! ::wave

Hope that your errands and chores go well today. Keeping your middle daughter in my thoughts and prayers, hope she feels better soon and that the antibiotics kick in quickly for her ❤️ Hugs for you!
Hope you have a beautiful day!

Wishing everyone a good weekend. I chose to not do much today, I need to sleep and recuperate from two hectic weeks at work. Chores can wait until tomorrow.

I have been catching up on this thread and I'm happy to read that the new medication has helped your son have a good night's sleep. I know an employee at work who has struggled with her young daughter having severe coughing fits to the point where that they've had to rush her to the hospital on more than one occasion. I don't have children but I feel for all the parents out there trying to find answers and solutions to treat their kid's ailments. Hoping for continued improvements with the new medication.

Harlowe eating well and taking her meds like a champ is such a positive step forward. I'll keep sending positive thoughts your way, as you'll introduce newer medication to help with her coughing.
Hope you have a restful and relaxing day today, Martine! You deserve it.

Thank you for keeping Harlowe in your thoughts and prayers!!

{{{hugs}}} to you & Loki!

Oh no Bless her!!! I hope this doesn't become worse. I am sure you are anxious for her to start these meds. I sure hope they work and take care of that cough quickly. Poor thing!
It is so good to hear she is eating and taking the meds. Sounds like there is some improvement but I appreciate she still has a way to go yet. It's a postitive start though. Hang in there!
Thanks so much, Sam.
This was going on prior to her starting her heart & lung meds a few weeks ago, and then having to abruptly stop.
We were lucky to have them practically be nonexistent during this whole bacterial infection, but the mads a fax must've worn off and they are starting up again. I am hopeful and confident that once she gets them in her system again she will get relief.
Thanks again for the support and encouragement ❤️
