Not much going on here today, I've already been out shopping for my mom's birthday gift. We'll celebrate next Sunday, but her birthday isn't until the following Tuesday.
My husband is out grabbing a few groceries and picking up the laundry - I love sending it out, we should have done that years ago. It's too much work for him and I certainly don't feel like I have time for it.
I've gone down another clothing size so I had to buy new pants and tops for work.
We're having ham and sweet potatoes for dinner tonight and taking it easy.
Enjoy the weekend my merry chums! ::wave
Congrats to you!

Happy early birthday to your mom =]

Hope you guys have a Merry weekend!!

We're experiencing a warmer day than usual today and the roads are quite slushy and several small pond-size puddles have formed in many places.
The cat predicted an early Spring. We can judge these things on whether or not O'Malley caves under the bed or behind the sofa on Groundhog's Day. If he doesn't "cave", it usually means we'll have an early Spring. We had our coldest day of the year last Saturday with -37 (which is close to -40C or F). Brrrr!
It was pretty close to that cold here with the wind...sick cold!

Festive and prancer, so happy to hear that the little ones are beginning to feel better!
snowflake22, very glad to hear that Har is eating and taking her medication!

Things are looking up here, too. We had our tax prep appointment this morning, and we'll be getting a modest refund. And Mr. reports to his long-term temp contract on Tuesday morning---so he should be having 40-hour workweeks for the foreseeable future. And the client has the option to convert the contract to a permanent position, so we have our fingers crossed! And we have spring-like temps in the 50s (F) here this weekend, with sunshine. We won't get out to enjoy it much, because Mr. has some freelance work he wants to finish up before reporting to the office on Tuesday, so he'll be working at home much of the weekend. Still, that's income, so it's a good thing, too.

Afternoon all,
I'm about to bake some winter spice muffins and watch a movie. It is miserable out so I am glad to be cosy indoors today.

Been a good day so far. The car failed it's annual MOT though. It's in the garage until Tuesday till the repairs are done. Not sure if we are doing the right thing investing more into it . We have spent so much on it recently already!! Ah well it's just a car.

PS Calling all members of the Unexpected Expenses committee! Bring tea and biscuits! :D
Oh, no! So sorry to hear about the car generating Unexpected Expenses. We had a "check engine" light last week that turned into a repair bill, too. Will bring some U.S. tea and biscuits to the meeting especially for you: Lipton Tea and Oreos! (I'll trade you for some PG Tips and British biscuits!)

I'd be more interested in O'Malley's prediction than an oversized rodent's prediction! Now we need to make O'Malley's Groundhog Day prediction an annual event!

There have been oodles of various "bugs" around here, but they haven't touched me yet. I rarely ever get sick. My boss was reviewing my vacation and sick days early in January to see if she had missed anything, alas she didn't have a record of my sick days because I hadn't taken any. She was surprised, but pleased at the same time.
I have had an off again on again migraine for five weeks, but I think it's just from the intensity of my fitness routine and my overactive brain. It's too bad today.
Hope the sinus infection clears up soon; that's the only type of thing that seems to hit me, but mainly when my allergies kick in during June and August.

I hardly ever get sick too. Except for last year when I worked at the preschool, I was sick just about every month. It was awful, that's why I'm not working there anymore.
I hope you get some relief from your migraine. I suffer from them as well, my heart goes out to you.
Thank you so much AMD. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Enjoy the warm temperatures!!

Thank you! I have my sliding glass door open today, it's wonderful. The cats are loving it too!

Good morning, HmG~
Merry Saturday!
Thank you so much!
Continued prayers for you guys, too ❤️
