She has been resting, as her stomach seems to be upset. She's still coughing when excited or laying down at times.
Hoping the stomach is just a regular issue, and not the infection still present.
This week is when we keep an ion her closely, to see how to proceed by next weekend.

How are you, Isaac, and Jacob?

Is next weekend when she starts her other meds? What about her dental surgery? I guess it depends on how well she is doing. I hope it's not the infection still present. Continued prayers for Har. (((Hugs))) I hope you are coping okay. I know it's still tough.

The boys are good, thanks. We have gotten into a routine with Isaac and his inhalers. He will be assessed again in two weeks. The new inhaler has made a difference though. Thank goodness!

Good morning MMC! "Happy" Monday!!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I'm going to try to get caught up on here, but it looks like ya'll were quite chatty!!!

Mom is still in the hospital & will remain there through tomorrow for sure. From there - she will remain in the same room at the hospital but they will bring in a nursing home bed & give her nursing home care/rehab in that same room for a few days, since there are no openings at the nursing home! Thank God!!!! We were hoping to totally avoid the nursing home! xx (not that the hospital cozy at all....) Saturday morning my sister, myself & another lady from town here took a trip to Amishville to track down the Amish lady who was staying with my uncle up until last week when they put him in the nursing home. She was so ecstatic when we asked her if she would be interested in staying with Mom for a few weeks. She said "this is too good to be true!" She would visit my Mom often when she stayed with my uncle. She will be coming one week from today & will stay Monday-Friday. We are all excited for her wonderful cooking/baking...we may want her to stay forever! Mom is getting stronger every day. And her attitude has improved so much after she learned she may not have to go to the nursing home & that Emma is coming so she can go home! We are getting our mom back! I even got her to crochet last night!

Good morning everyone, Happy Monday. Just a quick hello from me today. My daughter is still sick, I think she's actually getting worse. I need to run to Rite Aid and the supermarket to pick up a few things for her. We're heading back to the doctor this afternoon. I'll try and pop back in at some point. I hope everyone had a nice weekend and has a great week ahead. Thoughts and prayers for all.

Yes, if there are no further symptoms of infection, she will begin heart med this weekend. If I am concerned this week, I may bring in another sample to be analyzed.
If heart med goes well for a week, she will begin antibiotic for dental disease. If they work well together for a week, she will begin med for lungs. Once the prescriptions are complete, she will have x-rays run for a follow up to see if lung and heart have improved with meds. If so, she will continue with them, and they may say she is improved well enough to have the dental surgery. At that point, I will have to ask some tough questions about the risk, benefit, does benefit outweigh the risk, etc.

It is tough, especially when she struggles with the cough, it's a reminder of what's going on in that little body.

Ken had a really good weekend! He visited other seniors for lunch on Friday, at the VA. And then cheered on his grandson at his basketball game, and met with Adi for lunch on Sunday, then they ran some errands together. So relieved for a happy weekend for him =]

So happy to hear that the boys are able to be back at school, and that Isaac is seeing such positive results with the new inhaler. Continued prayers for you all!

This is supposed to be my "slow" week of the month at work but since I've been way behind since...oh around Thanksgiving (not even kidding) this is my week to "catch up" hopefully so that next week which IS my busy week of the month it will be very busy but not overwhelming. That's my plan and I'm sticking to it...now if only people would not email or call me then I could get my work done .

That makes me remember when my grams was in the hospital and wouldn't eat. My uncle brought her an ice cream and she ate it so fast. My uncle said "oh that goes down easy".

Yep. I brought her a chocolate Sunday yesterday & she wolfed it down. LOL Can't go wrong with ice cream!

Been some busy bees here for the past month or so....seems like basketball three or four nights a week since Christmas and some other school related activities have kept me away from here. Things should slow down in the next week or two as basketball wraps up. I'm ready for a slow down.

Wishing everyone a good weekend. I chose to not do much today, I need to sleep and recuperate from two hectic weeks at work. Chores can wait until tomorrow.

Things are looking up here, too. We had our tax prep appointment this morning, and we'll be getting a modest refund. And Mr. reports to his long-term temp contract on Tuesday morning---so he should be having 40-hour workweeks for the foreseeable future. And the client has the option to convert the contract to a permanent position, so we have our fingers crossed! And we have spring-like temps in the 50s (F) here this weekend, with sunshine. We won't get out to enjoy it much, because Mr. has some freelance work he wants to finish up before reporting to the office on Tuesday, so he'll be working at home much of the weekend. Still, that's income, so it's a good thing, too.

This made me so happy for you and Mr.! Praying that the job is what Mr. wishes it to be! xx

One week to go.
One lone, solitary week to go.....until our next Milestone.

Days to the Season: 265
Days to Christmas Day: 307

And that Milestone is none other than the 300-day Christmas Day marker, after which both of our counts will begin with a "2". Can you believe it?
(Of course you can. Around here, it's all about believing, isn't it?)


Fantastic weather here yesterday. Temps in the low 70's, no rain, and gentle breezes. Felt more like late April than late February.
Should be cooler today and we could get a spot of rain late, then much more of the wet stuff tomorrow and Wednesday.
Right now, we show 55 here on our thermometer.

Thank you so much snowflake!!! Another update since my post - they will take her off antibiotics tomorrow b/c he doesn't feel they are helping. It's just going to take time. He feels it's a viral pneumonia that just needs to run it's course. They are discontinuing respiratory therapy, but she does need to continue to use her breathing "toys" Spirometer, etc. She will either go swing bed on Wednesday, or possibly HOME!!!! We are making out a calendar now for who is going to stay with her, until Emma comes on Monday. And yes, Emma is amazing! My sis made it known if it's possible to go home Wed, that is our wish! xx

The antibiotic for the dental will be to help prevent the bacteria from entering the blood stream, and her organs. So if she has the surgery eventually, she would be taken off of that.
The heart meds will be for the rest of her life.
You're right, she is a tough little cookie! <3

Thank you! It really is wonderful for him, and the family.
Fingers crossed that he stays on the right path.
He is excited for an upcoming trip with Adi in March, and I know Adrian is looking forward to it, too.
They sure have fun together.
