Good Morning all my favourite Christmas companions !

Spent a scary part of the night online with my brother who is working in Dolton Al. this week.
here is some of what he was telling us...

Got an emergency message on my phone and then this on the tv...I'm going to hide now!
Powers out and sirens are sounding...I'll admit it...I'm shaking

Just a few blocks from where I'm staying. I heard it go by the hotel. I got to hear what the tornado sirens sound like tonight. Second picture I took from my room. it is Walmart. The news is reporting that it is damaged by the tornado.

after the last post it was over 10 min before we heard from him again, he was hiding in the tub with bathroom door closed ,,,happy to say he is fine but we had some anxious moments and lack of sleep last night.
I am glad it is morning. This same storm system is due to hit here with freezing rain and snow this morning and lasting till sometime tomorrow.

Hope all of you in the path of this keep safe and warm.
I am off to work in a few min. Have a great day !
I am glad he is safe, that sounds extremely scary.

For the first time ever in my life, here it is a week or so out from the first of March and I still have my tree up, decorated and lit (every night). Well, I guess that is one positive of not having a wife around to keep nagging on me to take the tree down a week or 2 after Christmas every year.... Yes, I'm being sarcastic, but I really do enjoy looking at it every night...

Hey there, just saying hi. Been a bit, yea I know, but I'm still alive. We had some really wicked severe thunderstorms that blew thru here this evening, pretty wild to have that in February with the wind, rain and lightening and all that craziness and such. Some areas in Maryland had reports of tornados...

Just Mimi and I here are here, curled up relaxing and I was thinking of everyone, so I just wanted to pop in and let you know that I haven't forgotten you all.....
Nor have we forgotten you, be assured!
Enjoy your Christmas tree with Mimi!
Glad to hear the storms didn't cause damage around there. I hope my old hometown is okay.

Enjoy your snow...personally I don't want to see anymore till December :). The cookies sound good!
I would rather have snow instead of this dreary rain we are getting tonight. It is so dark outside tonight.

Around here, the gray squirrel is king, but there are a few fox squirrels around. They vary in color, which is why it's so neat to see them. We have one near the house who looks kind of like this:

What great markings!!! Never seen one of those before.

You're way ahead of me in the squirrel department! I never knew there were red or black squirrels in New England. Never saw 'em in Maryland, either.
Out here in the western part of the state, it is a lot more rural so we probably have a little bit more wildlife out here. A friend from work has claimed to see a mountain lion 2 towns away from my town. That is something I would and would not like to see.

Glad to hear inventory went well. stay safe in the weather. Hope you get to enjoy a day off today!! xx
Unfortunately, I worked today. I had the weekend off, and I didn't want to use PTO so I am opting to work 6 days in a row instead.

Yes!
What creeps me out is some of the old (1920s - 1930s) movies where women are wearing a fox fur piece that drapes around their shoulders like a scarf---complete with head, paws, and tail. Ugh!
Whenever I see that all I can think of is a scene from the second Ace Ventura movie.

I agree - logging on here is the highlight of the morning!
It is one of the last things I do at night, just a way to wind down and relax. Talking to great people.
It also reminds me of when I first joined and played the fun & games at night, most of the time it was just CM3 and I answering the questions back and forth in each fun & game thread. I miss her.

Just happened to notice..last year there was almost 56,900 posts in countdown. Going into the 3rd month of this year there will probably be 12k posts already. Probably posting drops off in the summer a bit, then picks up again in October.
(Clickty, click,,click) October thru Dec should garner close to this average which would equal 18k + 12k=30k. So March thru Sept would need...3.5k ish per month to beat last years posts. Give or take a few thousand.:D
Wait until you see the craziness that is QVC Christmas in July. Thousands of posts over 3 days.

Good evening,

Wild weather going on here, heavy rain, heavy wind. I hear things getting blown around outside hitting the house. it is very unsettling, the power is flickering, and it just sounds bad out there. It is suppose to get worse before it gets better. I have my tablet set up as an alarm clock if the power does go out.
Work was a slow go today, and another scout meeting for JP tonight. Busy busy busy.

I am going to try to get some sleep, my anxiety is high with this weather going on.

Goodnight, everyone.

You're welcome Sam!
I'm not doing too good. I ran to the store earlier to get Airborne, maybe it will help. I hope Maggie sleeps tonight, I really need the rest. Fingers crossed this passes quickly. Thanks for asking, I hope you have a nice night <3
((((HUGE HUGS)))

I hope Maggie managed a better night and you got restful sleep and some relief from Airborne. Prayers for your quick recovery as well as Maggie and your daughter. Take it easy today.

I was thinking about you and wondering how you were!! I was even going to message you so this is a nice surprise! Glad that you are hanging in there. That's great about the tree :) Take care David, better times are ahead my friend. Keep courage.

Merry Morning!
Another beautiful winter day here!! We have had 4 DRY days in a row!! Bitterly cold though with hard frost and ice. I think winter only just started for us :D
I have some work to do before I take my youngest to Nursery and I also need to tidy up before the appointment with the realtor this afternoon.

5 sleeps till we welcome March!!!
