Good evening,

Like I said earlier, it was a wild night here, I did not sleep well. My anxiety was running high, listening to the wind and thunder was bad enough. I heard a transformer explode in a close by neighborhood. I finally got to sleep when the phone rang just after 1am. It was the weather warning call that I signed us up for after the tornado in 2011. I did that since there are no sirens up here, but I never thought they would call that late. Better to be safe than sorry.
So last night it was in the 60's with severe thunderstorms, tonight we are getting snow. Go figure.

Mother Nature, go home, you're drunk.

Time fore sleep.

Goodnight, friends.

I just spoke to Harlowe's vet office, and her test came back clean. Yay!!! Wonderful news.
So I should be able to start her on heart med this weekend. Her vet will call me tomorrow to discuss further. I am anxious to get them in her system, she has been less energetic and coughing much more.
Thanks for thinking of her, and keeping her in your prayers too <3
I know they are helping!!
xx

I kept meaning to ask yesterday whether you were able to submit a sample but things were so hectic. I am glad you did and got the results so soon! YAY !!!!!!!!!! Happy to hear her results are clean!!! Now she can start her meds! This is wonderful. Continued prayers Stacey. Keep us posted.

My sister just said to me she can not fathom that Christmas was 2 months ago because it seems like yesterday we were around the tree on Christmas morning. Also she said we got through the "worst 2 months" of the year...my MMCness is spreading.
She is so right. The memory of last Christmas seems so near and yet far away in my head. I think everyone is the same with Jan/Feb or most people I know anyway.

Good evening, just ran through the posts quick. Sorry I can't respond to everyone, it's been a hectic day and my head is pounding. Maggie's appointment went alright I guess. They took an X-ray and it shows she has significant tracheal collapse, nothing I didn't know. I'm heartbroken that there really isn't anything we can do and it will continue to progress. We're trying another round of antibiotics for the next few weeks. If her symptoms don't improve at all we'll discuss anti inflammatory medications. We'll see what happens.
I felt like I was getting sicker by the minute so I forced myself to go to the doctor this evening. Good thing I went, I have the flu. I already started Tamiflu, I hope it kicks in soon. I feel awful. Thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers for Maggie and I, I really appreciate it.
I will be keeping all of you in prayers as well <3
I have been skimming the posts looking for your update. I am really sorry that they could not offer any new alternatives for Maggie. Prayers that these anti biotics work and she can have some relief. You must be SO frustrated and worried.

Oh no that is terrible it's flu but good that you could start on Tamiflu straight away! Praying for you quick recovery HMG. Please rest as much a syou can and take things easy till you are better. Thinking of you xxx

It got quite nasty here, no damage, an awning looks like it was rattled around a bit, but that's it on the outside. We did get some water in the basement.
That stinks, hope it isn't too bad, and that it didn't cause any real damage.

:p So true!

Stay safe.
Glad you got the call, the weather has been so scary.

Thank you, Sam~
I am so happy that we can!

She is so restless at night, up and down to cough, drink more water, needs to go out because of that, etc. I'm exhausted.
She must be, too. I need to fill her vet in with all of this today, it may change which med she starts with.

Thanks so much for the prayers!

Thank you Meceka!

:D Our fur kids may be a little spoiled! But we wouldn't want it any other way! :)

I hope the heaviest of the storm misses you!! xx

You're welcome, Holiday!

Evening all,
Just waiting on dinner to be done so we can eat. I am really hungry. It's 5:10pm and it is still light outside!!! I love this time of year when the days are getting longer, the weather milder and the mood lighter :)

I am so exhausted :D These days are so hectic. We have decided it might be time to sell our house and buy somewhere bigger. We love our house but with the boys getting bigger and both of us needing work space - it has been a challenge with it being so tiny. It's been a fantastic starter home though. First appointment with an agent tomorrow for a valuation. We are hoping for a good price! Very nervous!!! :) Wish us luck.

Too bad I can't get Stacey to be my agent :D

How exciting that you are going to be buying a new house. Praying you find the home of your dreams and in your price range!
Praying for your eldest!
(((HUGS)))

All OK here now that the severe weather has passed.
Damage to our north and northwest with trees down on houses.
100,000 without power in the area, but our lights just flickered a couple of times.
Plenty of rain here!

I'm glad you are all right, Crown.

For the first time ever in my life, here it is a week or so out from the first of March and I still have my tree up, decorated and lit (every night). Well, I guess that is one positive of not having a wife around to keep nagging on me to take the tree down a week or 2 after Christmas every year.... Yes, I'm being sarcastic, but I really do enjoy looking at it every night...

Hey there, just saying hi. Been a bit, yea I know, but I'm still alive. We had some really wicked severe thunderstorms that blew thru here this evening, pretty wild to have that in February with the wind, rain and lightening and all that craziness and such. Some areas in Maryland had reports of tornados...

Just Mimi and I here are here, curled up relaxing and I was thinking of everyone, so I just wanted to pop in and let you know that I haven't forgotten you all.....

Hi, David! It is great to see you popping in for a visit!!! I'm glad the storms passed you by without any severe damage.

Good Morning MMC! Happy 10 Months until Christmas! We had a rough night last night-tornado warnings for a large part of the evening. We're safe and sound, but a community where I used to teach lost homes and had many injured, and a few people died elsewhere in the state. Pray for those communities or send them good thoughts if you get the chance! I hope everyone has a great day today!

My prayers are on the way!

I just noticed I crossed the 35,000 posts mark this morning. Love me some MMC! ;)

Congratulations!

Mom is home & so far doing well! xx Thanks Festive.
What's for dinner at your house?
My SIL is not well. They have her very sedated so she is not responsive most of the time. They are very concerned about her at the Hospice care facility. They don't feel it will be long. :( We have to go to Dayton for a celebration of life on Saturday so I'm hoping before we go there we can stop to see her, IF she will let us. She has her "NO VISITORS" sign up on her door yet.

Oh, Holiday, I am sorry to read that your SIL is not doing well. Prayers for her and you and your family. Sending much love and hugs your way. (((HUGS)))

Good Thursday morning, and Happy Rudolph Day, my Christmas friends!

The wind has finally subsided somewhat, and the sun is peeking out a little. It's a lot cooler, too. I know I live in the south, but it doesn't need to get warm until the spring!

Nancy's not feeling well this morning, citing a possible bout with the stomach flu. I hope not!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Praying Nancy is better today!

Girls can be just as bad as boys!!! This is my daughter Sunday night.

Praying your daughter heals quick!

Sounds like we need to fire up the lear!!!
Speaking of - I wonder how Seawaters is doing. Hopefully well. Also, I haven't seen sugar on here for awhile! Missing a few of our friends!

I've been wondering about them, too.

Good morning!

I am so glad the storm is over! Over 8 inches of heavy wet snow fell and there was considerable damage to the property. Lost power for over 24 hours ~ not fun when it is so cold out and there is no heat. Poor Palmer ~ she was miserable.

On the plus side, while I was sleeping, someone plowed out the driveway. I was not looking forward to shoveling so it was a lovely surprise.

Lots to do today so I bid all of you a merry day!

Uh oh? What happened?

We were at open skate at a local rink here. She wants to play for the local HS girls hockey team. She was working on her skating, stopping to be exact. She caught an edge trying to stop and looked like she got checked into the boards, only there was no one around her. We go to an orthopedic doctor this afternoon and see how bad it is. X-rays were negative for a break, though, so that's good.

Thank you, Sam~

I can imagine how tired you are especially with work and everything else going on!! It's a real shame Har I sstruggling so much at night. Prayers continue.

How is your new house coming along?
