How awesome for you!!! I know how excited you are. March has snuck up fast!!!
We have a different kind of weekend ahead - as soon as I get off work at noon I have to book it home to let my girl out & pack up the car with food & things to bring to moms, where I will be spending this afternoon through tomorrow afternoon! PT is coming at 1:30 today for the 1st time. I'm sure Mom will nap after that. Jim brought us home some Peda's last night we will heat up in the oven for supper tonight. I am going to make Pot Au Feu in the crockpot & let it cook overnight. We will have it for lunch tomorrow! :) Mmmmm (my Dads famous dish!) I am also making meatballs at Moms to bring to the celebration of life we have in Dayton tomorrow! We have decided to try to see my SIL before we head to the Celebration of life. I have butterfly's in my belly thinking about that! The Celebration starts at 4:00 tomorrow, so I'm not sure what time we will get home from that, if we will do anything tomorrow night or not. There is a guy singing/guitar down at the Legion Saturday night we might go listen too him for awhile. He's really good! Sunday we have no plans. It's supposed to be nice weather - might have to grill out! We will probably be getting a little "bedroom" set up for the Amish lady who is coming to stay with mom next week. We are going to set up a bed/dresser, etc in Moms living room which is right next to Moms bedroom - makes it convenient. That's about it. ;) What are your weekend plans? Hope you have something nice planned! :) ENJOY!
It sounds like you have a full weekend ahead!
Hope all goes well for your Mom. Enjoy your special time with her!!
Please tell me more about your Dad's famous dish!!
I'll be thinking of you during your Saturday plans, sending hugs and strength your way <3
Enjoy the nice weather on Sunday~
xx

Well I think I might stop by your house if you are grilling out in warm weather!!!!!

We are going to see two houses nearby tomorrow. The viewings are spaced out with one in the morning and the other in the afternoon so other than that we will just be spending time at home with the kids and lounging. Netflix is on the cards too LOL!

Just had the second appointment with the realtor. It went well and pretty much the same as the other one yesterday. I am now confused as to who to go with LOL!
Please do! We'd love to have you guys!! xx

How exciting!! :)

Are they in your same town?

May I recommend taking a notepad to jot down your thoughts. And if it's ok with the seller, take plenty of photos to look back on!

Do you guys do open houses there?
We once were going to go with a realtor, and then found out they weren't willing to do them. That made our decision.

Best wishes in deciding which realtor to go with! Trust your gut!

Good afternoon, Sam!
Merry Friday!!
Woohoo!!! So exciting! ENJOY <3

We are going to grill out again on Saturday, going to be near 50 degrees! Crazy!
Then, get cold again ;) So must take advantage!!
Then, watch movies and relax. Get Har settled.

How about your plans for tomorrow?
Enjoy the grilled food, nicer weather, movies & relaxing! Have a great weekend!

Thank you snowflake! I am looking forward to my time at Moms! Cooking in her kitchen, hanging out. I think it will be fun! :)
Thank you for the thoughts for tomorrow. I'm not sure that my SIL will even let us see her or that she will be coherent. But we will try. It's just such a yucky drive - I hope we get to see her! (I think!)

Here's Dad recipe w/ some extra notes (if they make sense...lol)

Pot au Feu – Dad – (Pot Roast with Smoked Sausage) YUM!

6 lbs. boneless beef stewing cubes

2 Polish Kielbasa’s or Smoked Sausage (approx. 1 ¼ lbs. – Dad adds to pot with 3 hrs remaining)

1 (1.5 oz.) envelope Brown Gravy Mix

2 (16 oz.) bag Frozen Veggies

1 (14 oz.) can Beef Broth

2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce

Onions

2 diced Potatoes (in bottom of crock)

Combine all ingredients in crock pot. Stir.

Low – 10 hours

High – 5 hours

Dad – Takes some juice out ½ hour before its ready & makes gravy to pour back over while still in crock pot. (He mixes & heats the juice with corn starch)

Sounds like you have a lot over the weekend with the right amount of leisure time included. It's been awhile since I've been to live music. I used to go all the time before the kids. I miss it. Love Grilling out should be fun! I am sure Gracie would love that!

Sounds like a good plan setting up the living room into a temp bedroom. Hope the celebration and everything else goes well anyway.

I will be working Sunday and tomorrow we are viewing two houses near here. One of them I really love and the other one Mr Festive really loves because it's on the street he grew up on ! LOL
Other than that we will be having a quiet easy Saturday!

Do you mean an open house to sell our property? Our house would be too small for that I think. It is tiny Stacey LOL!

Yes they are both local. In fact their offices are next to each other. The realtor yesterday is with the agency who sold us this current house. So I was leaning toward familiarity but Mike who I saw today was so confident in his pitch that it's making me wonder.

To make things a little more 'exciting' - the house I am leaning toward is with the agency I saw yesterday while the house Mr F is leaning toward is with the agency I saw today!!!

I might call in a third and see what they say to :D

It sounds AMAZING!! <3

I'll be praying for you all!

Wait until you see the craziness that is QVC Christmas in July. Thousands of posts over 3 days.
My goodness! I just started reading this thread a couple of weeks ago and if I miss just one day, there's already 20 more pages. Can't imagine thousands of posts.

I just spoke to Harlowe's vet office, and her test came back clean. Yay!!! Wonderful news.
So I should be able to start her on heart med this weekend. Her vet will call me tomorrow to discuss further. I am anxious to get them in her system, she has been less energetic and coughing much more.
Thanks for thinking of her, and keeping her in your prayers too <3
I know they are helping!!
xx

I'm so glad to hear that Harlowe's tests came back clean and that she will start her new medication soon. I hope it really helps with her coughing and being restless at night. Both of you need a better night's sleep. Sending hugs and positive thoughts,

Good evening, just ran through the posts quick. Sorry I can't respond to everyone, it's been a hectic day and my head is pounding. Maggie's appointment went alright I guess. They took an X-ray and it shows she has significant tracheal collapse, nothing I didn't know. I'm heartbroken that there really isn't anything we can do and it will continue to progress. We're trying another round of antibiotics for the next few weeks. If her symptoms don't improve at all we'll discuss anti inflammatory medications. We'll see what happens.
I felt like I was getting sicker by the minute so I forced myself to go to the doctor this evening. Good thing I went, I have the flu. I already started Tamiflu, I hope it kicks in soon. I feel awful. Thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers for Maggie and I, I really appreciate it.
I will be keeping all of you in prayers as well <3
Take good care of yourself, hope you recover quickly from this bout with the flu. And hope the antibiotics for Maggie help in any way. Keeping you in my thoughts.

I was just going to ask what Pot au feu was! It sounds delicious!

Well that sounds like a good problem to have!!! Hope you like the houses you are going to see. Big decisions ahead!! Good luck festive!
Thanks Holiday! Trying not to get carried away or even attached to either because there is always the chance if we do decide on one that the offer to buy isn't accepted plus the purchase will depend on how quickly we can sell this house. But I am a firm believer in Fate and like Papa always said Que Sera Sera - whatever will be, will be :D

There you go! ;)

Yes-maybe it's a bit different here! I'm not sure.
Open House exposure is how we were able to finally sell our condo. It was pretty small too, and it was open to the public for an hour and a half. Of course, not too many people come through at a time. Most of the time it was one person or just one couple at a time.

Maybe when you view the houses, you both will be on the same page! If not, and you're interested in both of them, you could start a pros and cons list.
Adrian and I had to do with the house we bought after selling the condo.

Good luck! Can't wait to hear about them!!

Sending hugs back to you & sweet Loki.
Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Very interesting & exciting! Can't ever be easy, can it! :p

Thank you snowflake.
It IS amazing. I normally cook it on low for more like 12 hours. It makes A LOT! And I'll "only" use around 4lb of the beef. I figured I will let it at Moms & whoever is staying with her will have something yummy to eat! :)

Good Morning, Everybody.
Under half a week, now.

Details after this:
Days to the Season: 261
Days to Christmas Day: 303

And that 303 number confirms any lingering doubts -- we are indeed less than HALF A WEEK AWAY from the 300-day Christmas Day Milestone marker and the start of a double-200's count sequence.
(Hey, Ripley. Can you believe that....or not?)

Well, one would think the passage of Wednesday's storms would yield quiet weather. Well, think again.
Such was not the case yesterday, as we had strong winds out of the west nearly the entire day.
(Why pick up branches and pine cones when more are continuously blowing down around you? Let's try again today.)
This day has commenced clear and calm at 37 degrees, and I can hear the yard debris calling me.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends!
(And how can you help it since it's also Weekend Eve!)
Thanks Crown. Enjoy the last weekend of February!
