I just realised I've not even said good morning to you guys yet and now it's late afternoon for me.
Happy Friday! What are you guys up to this weekend?? After I work this Sunday I will have the next two off. Two full weekends off to look forward to next week!!!!! More reason for me to love March!

Good Morning/Afternoon christmas friends...Hope everyone is having a good day so far...Thats my working week finished Woo-Hoo...Gonna have a quick cuppa then head out to do the grocery shopping...Then maybe enjoy a glass or two when i get home...Well it is Friday christmas buddies...Enjoy your day ahead my friends

Thank you for the thoughts for tomorrow. I'm not sure that my SIL will even let us see her or that she will be coherent. But we will try. It's just such a yucky drive - I hope we get to see her! (I think!)

Here's Dad recipe w/ some extra notes (if they make sense...lol)


Pot au Feu – Dad – (Pot Roast with Smoked Sausage) YUM!

6 lbs. boneless beef stewing cubes

2 Polish Kielbasa’s or Smoked Sausage (approx. 1 ¼ lbs. – Dad adds to pot with 3 hrs remaining)

1 (1.5 oz.) envelope Brown Gravy Mix

2 (16 oz.) bag Frozen Veggies

1 (14 oz.) can Beef Broth

2 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce

Onions

2 diced Potatoes (in bottom of crock)

Combine all ingredients in crock pot. Stir.

Low – 10 hours

High – 5 hours

Dad – Takes some juice out ½ hour before its ready & makes gravy to pour back over while still in crock pot. (He mixes & heats the juice with corn starch)

Nancy and her mom both have had the stomach flu this week, but her mom is still trying to plan Bernie's HUGE birthday party for tonight. She's inviting the whole family. I know that doesn't sound to awful, but Nancy is the baby of 6 siblings. And they all have kids, and most have grandkids. We are talking about 50 people in Mrs. Hilda's house tonight! With germs floating around!

Nancy's trying to get out of going, so we'll see how it goes.

Nancy and her mom both have had the stomach flu this week, but her mom is still trying to plan Bernie's HUGE birthday party for tonight. She's inviting the whole family. I know that doesn't sound to awful, but Nancy is the baby of 6 siblings. And they all have kids, and most have grandkids. We are talking about 50 people in Mrs. Hilda's house tonight! With germs floating around!

Nancy's trying to get out of going, so we'll see how it goes.

It's funny, I've always called Nancy's mom Mrs. Hilda, but I call her dad Bernie. Everyone in the county does, too, though. LOL

I'm so sorry that they didn't have anything more to offer up as treatment options for Maggie. Hope that this next round of antibiotics gives her relief again, Har & I are sending lots of hugs to you both.
Also praying that the anti inflammatory medicines will help her out in the future. It's so scary to hear when meds are the only things to keep them comfortable, but progression is inevitable
You are both in my heart and prayers.

So sorry to hear that you have the flu, too. Hope you can rest peacefully tonight, and that your meds kick in quickly. I wish I could be there to help you out. Please take care of yourself

I have been skimming the posts looking for your update. I am really sorry that they could not offer any new alternatives for Maggie. Prayers that these anti biotics work and she can have some relief. You must be SO frustrated and worried.

Oh no that is terrible it's flu but good that you could start on Tamiflu straight away! Praying for you quick recovery HMG. Please rest as much a syou can and take things easy till you are better. Thinking of you xxx

I hope the meds help & the flu runs it's course quickly!! It's going around here too... most are saying it's a 24-36 hour thing. Hope it doesn't last any longer than that for you! In fact, I hope you are feeling better today!

Gosh, it wasn't a very good day for you, was it? I'm sorry you have the flu. I'm such a wimp when it comes to a fever. If I get to 98.7°, I have to be in the bed under 3 blankets.

She is so restless at night, up and down to cough, drink more water, needs to go out because of that, etc. I'm exhausted.
She must be, too. I need to fill her vet in with all of this today, it may change which med she starts with.
