********** MILESTONE DAY **********

Good Morning, My Many Manifestly Manical Madcap Major Milestone Markers.

And mark it well, we have indeed arrived at the THREE HUNDRED DAY CHRISTMAS DAY WINDOW and the immediate beginning of a double-200's count.
(WOW!)

Days to the Season: 258
Days to Christmas Day: 300

(And stay tuned for a press release from none other than Carl himself.)

Wonderful day yesterday with plenty of sun, no rain, calm winds and moderate temperatures.
(Felt like mid Spring, and I'm not complaining!)
Right now, we have commenced this final, extra day of February at 54 degrees here in the capital city of the great state of North Carolina.

OK. In light of our arrival at the 300-day mark, and because of the uniqueness of the date, Carl has announced a special mini-open house this evening with the theme of "Leap through the Window", no doubt a reference to both our Milestone and the fact that it falls on February 29th.
About all he will reveal is that the entertainment focuses on a game involving jumping through the 'Pines dining room windows. He's wearing tennis shoes, so no doubt he will be participating personally.
(Well, don't know about you, but I for one am just curious enough to go!)

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone!
Thank Crown. I can't believe we already are ending the 300s and February!

Can't wait! See you tonight.
Happy Milestone Day!

Good morning MMC! Monday again! But it is a Happy Monday b/c I have the day off work! :) I originally took off to either stay with Mom or to go get Emma (the Amish lady) - but my sis ended up spending that night at her daughters house in Ft. Wayne last night so she picked Emma up on her way home this morning! My oldest sis spent the night at Moms last night so she was there with her this morning. I thought about going into work, but I already had it in my brain that I was going to be off today, so Wahooo - I'm not working today! :D
:snowball
I had a great 24 hours with Mom...it went SO fast. I wanted another 24 hours!! How relaxing. LOL! Knocking on wood, she is doing really well. We are going to call her cardiologist today b/c her BP is SO low & she is SO tired. We think he needs to adjust her meds.
On a sad note, we lost my SIL over the weekend. She passed away around 3:30 am Friday night/Saturday morning. Her nurse had been in her room several times that night & had conversation with her. Said she seemed to be doing better. But when she walked in at 3:30 am. Jackie was peacefully gone. It's so sad, but I truly feel it is a blessing. This is what she wanted. No more pain - just too young! :(

On a happier note, my niece (my Goddaughter) got engaged over the weekend, while on vacation in Colorado...at the top of the mountain! SOOOOO excited for them! :D

Everyone, enjoy your Monday! I'm going to see if I can get caught up here!

Thanks!

It's funny, I've always called Nancy's mom Mrs. Hilda, but I call her dad Bernie. Everyone in the county does, too, though. LOL
Funny b/c the neighbors at the lake - the wife is originally from Alabama & her kids call me "Miss Angie" but Jim is just Jim. LOL! And they always called our neighbor Deb "Mrs. Deb"....but she is the only one who isn't married. Always made us laugh!

Thank you so much. I really, really appreciate it!
Just having a cup of tea and taking care of the furbabies, thought I would pop in quick. I've never had the flu before, it's really knocking me for a loop. I'll be heading back to bed soon.
Thoughts and prayers for all of you as well ♥
xx
Did I read that right? You have NEVER had the flu before?? Hope you are feeling better & you never get it again! (that is amazing!)

This looks so good...I may make this next week. I love crockpot recipes!
It was SO delicious!! My brother/sil/niece/nephew/neighbor came over for lunch to help eat it...it was a hit! But there is still a lot left over! ;) Our local butcher has really delicious smoked sausage & I think if you have a good smoked sausage, that really makes it yummy! You'll have to let me know if you try it! :)

Sorry to hear about your SIL Holiday. Glad your mom is doing better. Wish I had off today :).

I understand & empathize my friend.
I know change is so hard for animals, just like humans. So she may in fact be making it a habit because it's what she knows now.
{{{hugs}}}
Does her vet offer up any suggestions or advice?
Currently, our bedroom is downstairs. So we are in the opposite situation. But similar in the fact that I have to go up, get a coat on, and let her out. I'm usually pretty awake by the time we get in, and then my alarm goes off not very long after. I do keep a dish of water in our room, so she can drink there.
Sending you positive vibes & lots of love.
xx

Thanks Snowflake. The veterinarian said there are anxiety medications but I'm just not sure if I should take that route. There are side effects and she's already dealing with so much from the collapsing trachea and chronic coughing. I've even thought about getting another dog to keep her company but I'm scared, God forbid it backfires on me and ends up stressing her out even more. I'm just taking it day by day.

Goodnight, beautiful friend.
Praying for you guys.

Praying hard for all of you as well ♥

Good morning, friends~
Happy Monday!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
Wishing you a fabulous day, and a great start to your week!

I'm so sorry to hear about your SIL. As you said, no more pain, but she was so young, bless her heart.

Praying for you and her family.
