Hoping that something this Monday will make you smile and laugh!
Jumping off into another workweek! (Well, that is, after I post here ... :D )
Have a wonderful day Merry!

Sorry to hear about your SIL Holiday. Glad your mom is doing better. Wish I had off today :).
Thanks Edge! :) Hope your day is going well!

I'm so sorry for your loss, Holiday. Praying for your family during this difficult time.
I know you're relieved she is at peace, now. Hugs, love and strength being sent your way.

I'm so happy to hear that your Mom had a good weekend. Fingers crossed that once her meds are adjusted, she'll get some energy back. Continued prayers.

Congrats to your niece!

Enjoy your day off~

xx
Thanks snowflake!! My day off has been quite unproductive so far...but it feels good to be at home & relaxing! ;) I'll be heading to Moms probably later this afternoon. Hope you are having a great Monday!

Happy Monday Holiday!
I'm glad to hear your mom is doing well. I hope they can adjust her medicine as soon as possible so she's not so tired.
I'm so sorry to hear about your SIL. I will keep all of you in my prayers (((hugs)))
Congratulations to your niece!
Enjoy your day off <3
Thank you HMG!! I hope adjusting Moms meds helps too. She is not normally so tired. I realize she is recovering but with her BP being so low, we just feel it has to be the Lopressor.

Well, I actually call Mrs. Hilda, "Miss" Hilda, but, come to think of it, I never actually pronounce Mrs. with anyone.

Considering that, what is the full spelling of the abbreviation "Mrs."? Missus (which I think is a southern thang), Mistress, ...?

I bet MerryCarey knows. ;)
Funny you ask that b/c when I typed "Mrs" I was thinking the same thing...what is the full spelling??? Mistress.....:p :D

Good Monday morning, and Happy Milestone Day, my Christmas friends!

What a crazy weekend! Nancy was still sick most of the weekend, so I ran all the errands and took Elizabeth everywhere she needed to be.

We spent most of the weekend trying to get a good picture of Jacob with his car and a guitar for the school yearbook. Today is the deadline. The seniors get a full page dedicated to each student, and we've already sent baby pictures and other favorites, but there is supposed to be one big background picture. I couldn't get the right picture, but the yearbook teacher-guy said I could try again today. Nice!

I hope y'all have a great day!:D
I hope you get the perfect pic of Jacob. What a cool idea! :)
Sorry to hear Nancy was sick most of the weekend. Hope she's feeling better today!!

Thanks Holiday, I hope I never get it again too!
Me too my friend. I'm wondering how you have avoided it for so long. LOL!! ;)

Good morning everyone, Happy Milestone Day!
I'm feeling better today, still very tired though. It's so weird, I feel like I'm moving in slow motion. I don't like it. I have to go to the bank but I'm going to the drive through so I don't even have to get out of the car. Today I just want to get a couple of loads of laundry done and make a pot of chicken soup for dinner. I hope everyone has a nice day :)
Chicken soup sounds good. I'm thinking about a version of chicken pot pie using the leftover grilled marinated chicken breasts & pork chops from yesterday. I hope you feel better as the day goes on!
Continued prayers for you & Maggie too!

Thanks, Holiday~
I bet it is nice to be home!
It got off to a rough start, but hopefully things will get better as the day goes on.
Have a fabulous day <3

Hey Brad. Do they get to write messages and stuff in their yearbook? That's how we used to do it "back in the day..."
Yeah, I think they still pass the books around so their friends can sign them. That's how we did it way back in the late '70's - early 80's, too. :D

Thanks, Holiday~

Well mid 90s for me...not as old you ;). But actually I have a little book my grammar school gave me when we graduated 8th grade. I went to catholic grammar school K-8th grade so was there 9 years and only 14 of us were in the 8th grade together. We all signed stuff in each others book. Pretty funny to go back and read it now.

Good morning everyone. I just dropped Kimmie off for a haircut. Poor thing froze up and was not happy. But she'll feel much better when some of that hair is gone.
Hope you all have a great day.
I hope Kimmie's haircut went well!! Little cutie. Did you post a pic? (I'm still trying to catch up....)

That makes sense.

Hey, maybe that's a good sign!
Thinking of you guys today!! So excited for you!
Can't wait to hear about them both =)

When I spoke to her vet yesterday, she listened to my report on her latest symptoms, and did in fact change her mind about what medicine to start first. We began with the furosemide last night (diuretic), to help remove the fluid from her lungs. That is most likely what is causing her cough, restlessness at night, lack of energy, depression, etc. They are also symptoms of heart disease in general, but based on when she is having these episodes, leads her to believe furosemide is best to start with. She's now had two doses, and took them like a champ!
They are not too big to begin with, but the pill cutter really helps to mask them. Hopefully it's not as obvious that she's getting a pill.
I also learned that she won't always have to be on this medicine most likely, that it'll be just here and there, if fluid builds up. So the plan is to take it for 4-5 days, then if she's no longer coughing and so restless, then stop and start the Vetmedin (heart). If that does help her, she will need to stay on it for the rest of her life. It works in two ways, preventative for fluid build up, and allows the heart to pump blood more efficiently.
She seems okay so far, drinking a lot and needing to go outside every two hours. So, it's working like it's supposed to.
Thanks for asking <3
Hope everything is still going well with Har & her new med!! Sounds like a great plan!!! xx

Good Morning!!
Enjoy the beautiful weather!
We are hitting 50 degrees here today! (very strange for February!) but back to snow tomorrow =]

Have a wonderful weekend!
We had 65º yesterday, sat outside, had friends over for drinks/snacks/cookout/patio party....but snow is on the way this week! Crazy weather!

Thanks, Holiday~

Oh no! Hope your day is getting better by the minute!!! xx

Not bad...very busy but it's expected. Which is better than being bored. I'm glad you have off today. We all need some long weekends after these first 2 months of basically working 5 day weeks!
Ya....I'll be jealous of you the next weeks having Mondays off!! ;)
