Happy weekend, everybody!
Finished lunch and "running around" for various things ... including some more yarn to crochet with. Ready to settle in for the evening and find something I can watch while I crochet.

I made a scrubby this weekend with the new Red Heart Scrubby yarn...not as good as the scrubbies made with 10 yards of nylon cut into strips...but I'll try it!

Good morning MMC! Monday again! But it is a Happy Monday b/c I have the day off work! I originally took off to either stay with Mom or to go get Emma (the Amish lady) - but my sis ended up spending that night at her daughters house in Ft. Wayne last night so she picked Emma up on her way home this morning! My oldest sis spent the night at Moms last night so she was there with her this morning. I thought about going into work, but I already had it in my brain that I was going to be off today, so Wahooo - I'm not working today!

I had a great 24 hours with Mom...it went SO fast. I wanted another 24 hours!! How relaxing. LOL! Knocking on wood, she is doing really well. We are going to call her cardiologist today b/c her BP is SO low & she is SO tired. We think he needs to adjust her meds.
On a sad note, we lost my SIL over the weekend. She passed away around 3:30 am Friday night/Saturday morning. Her nurse had been in her room several times that night & had conversation with her. Said she seemed to be doing better. But when she walked in at 3:30 am. Jackie was peacefully gone. It's so sad, but I truly feel it is a blessing. This is what she wanted. No more pain - just too young!

On a happier note, my niece (my Goddaughter) got engaged over the weekend, while on vacation in Colorado...at the top of the mountain! SOOOOO excited for them!

Just popping in to say a quick hello and hope everyone is surviving Monday! I am pretty busy but not too crazy so it is good. I am getting ready to have a cup of coffee which I never usually do in the afternoon but I am feeling a bit tired.

It's amazing how the world comes alive in the Spring! You see people you haven't seen for months =]

I felt that way yesterday when I was out and around ... part of my brain kept saying "Wow, it's spring!" and the practical part of my brain was saying, "Whoa, slow down there, it isn't even March yet!"

Yesterday we had several friends & neighbors join us on the patio - as my husband is sitting in his patio chair in a short sleeve shirt, no jacket - he made the comment about the wind being a little annoying...I had to remind him...IT'S FEBRUARY 28TH & YOU ARE SITTING OUTSIDE IN SHORT SLEEVES & NO COAT!!! REALLY??? No complaining!!

My mind was going faster than my fingers. I'm glad you knew I meant your SIL. My daughter is doing ok, her knee is still a little sore, but she also hadn't bent it for a week, so being able to bend it 45* is not something it's used to. Thanks for your well wishes.

Hi, friends! Hope everyone is well! Been a beautiful day here. Upper 60's and windy, but the sun was out the whole day...and I loved it. Only got to spend a couple of hours in it, but it was awesome! I love being outside and say does Bambina. Cleaned the truck, picked up the yard, and came in and looked at some Christmas sites. All in all, it was a great day.

I know I've mentioned before that she hasn't slept through the night since we lost Molly. I told the veterinarian about it last week and he said it's possible Maggie could be dealing with some kind of an anxiety issue. My bedroom is on the second floor and she can't go down the stairs by herself so I have to carry her down. I let her have a drink, take her outside and bring her back to bed. She repeats this a few times. I'm almost wondering if it's just become a bad habit at this point. I just don't know. I haven't slept straight through the night since last June. I don't have the heart to ignore her when she wakes me up, especially when she's coughing so I'm caught in this cycle. It's frustrating.

I understand & empathize my friend.
I know change is so hard for animals, just like humans. So she may in fact be making it a habit because it's what she knows now.

Does her vet offer up any suggestions or advice?
Currently, our bedroom is downstairs. So we are in the opposite situation. But similar in the fact that I have to go up, get a coat on, and let her out. I'm usually pretty awake by the time we get in, and then my alarm goes off not very long after. I do keep a dish of water in our room, so she can drink there.

So sorry you all are going through this! When my friend had a dog who was having issues, she put a bowl of water on their nightstand - the dog slept in their bed - and when he would wake up in the middle of the night, he didn't have to get off the bed, he could just lean over for a drink. I'm not sure it that would help, but I hope she starts to improve very soon!!
