I did notice how much more the mogwai looked more like stuffed animals than a "living thing." That was just on the DVD in the bluray player.

In older movies especially, the background of an exterior would sometimes be enhanced by painting distant scenery on a piece of glass and including it in the shot. (It would cover up cityscapes, power lines, etc. that didn't belong in the movie.) Similar shots could be made by matting in the painted scenery in the lab. On Blu-ray, and on DVD to some extent, these "glass shots" look more like painted scenery than they ever did on TV, on VHS, or in theaters.

Merry Friday everyone! I just got a call from my best friend that her dog, Kiefer passed away. He was 13 (flat coated retriever) and she said he was fine when her and husband went to bed. She said she came downstairs and he was laying on his dog bed, she thought he was sleeping but he was already gone. I felt so bad....such a terrible feeling to lose a furkid. I was just over there last week when my oldest daughter was helping her son with a project. I was sitting on the couch and Keifer jumped right up. Even though he was 13 he was so active and had so much energy. I told her we would come over tomorrow night for dinner and have a glass of wine. She hasn't told her kids yet but I know her youngest will be so sad..he is such a dog lover like his Mom. I told her it just takes time to get over it and he will always be with her.

I am so sorry to hear about Keifer. That is heartbreaking. Keeping your friend and her family in my thoughts & prayers. May God bless them and comfort them.

Merry Friday everyone! I just got a call from my best friend that her dog, Kiefer passed away. He was 13 (flat coated retriever) and she said he was fine when her and husband went to bed. Goodness I am so sorry to hear. They must be so shocked! It is good that he had such a peaceful passing but at the same time it must make it even tougher to deal with as it was so unexpected. Hope time and fond memories will help them move on in due course.

School got cancelled due to the weather. This is an extremely RARE occurrence here! It's been snowing all morning and we have a coating but it's that sort of slushy snow mixed with rain.
Our winters always seem to begin in March.

I was looking forward to a little down time with the start of my nice long weekend but as my gremlins are home today those plans are out the window

Sorry for your friends loss, SnowflakeMom, I was talking to my step-father the other night and he told me that my dog, (who is living with him because I cannot have him at the place I rent. I had him when I was married and I got him in the divorce) is peeing all over the place. Joe is 13 on Sunday. He is starting to go blind and deaf and with this happening, it's time to have that tough discussion about sending him on. If his quality of life is going down, I feel that it's only fair to Joe to have him go before he really starts suffering even though my heart breaks over it. My daughter (who turns 14 on Wednesday) is going to handle this the worst. She doesn't handle this really well, especially when she lost her grandmother, my mom, last June. Not a decision I'm looking forward too, but I feel it's only fair to Joe to make the right one. Oy vey.

I'll add to the list of car troubles going around. The fuel pump went out on my truck so we have been using moms car. Well it started leaking antifreeze and overheating. The problem is though, her hood is jammed and I can't get it open to figure out where it's leaking and to add more. I've been trying for weeks now. My cousin is supposed to stop by this weekend and see if he can help. He works at a body shop so he's used to dealing with this.

Happy Friday!! TGIF!!
Harlowe has had two doses of the Vetmedin, so far- so good!
I think the tricky part will be getting her to take the huge things two times a day.
She had a good night, active, interested, walked well, saw her friend Chloe and was playful, slept in bed the entire night Made me so happy. Praying this continues.
Snow coming today, then warm up next week. Bring on Spring.

Loki sleeps well at night but lately, he's decided to sleep in his cage. Makes me sad, I miss him on the bed with us. But I think I move around too much and it bothers him.

I wish Gracie would like to sleep on our bed, but she doesn't. She's almost always UNDER our bed! Goofy dog!

Good Friday Morning MMC! TGIF! We made it to another Friday. The next 2 Fridays I'll be off (not rubbing it in or anything) but it's overdue as I have not been off a weekday since Jan 1. That seems long ago yet we have gone into our 3rd month of the year seemingly so swiftly. Everyone ready for the weekend? Hope so. We have about an inch of snow that fell over night. I'm hoping this is the last snowfall till December! But I know that's not definite even though next week we're heading into springs weather with 50s and 60s! I'm looking forward to it. But really right now I'm looking forward to the weekend!
Hope you all get through this last work day of the week and fly into a glorious weekend this afternoon!

I remember several years ago on March 15th (our Anniversary) we had a foot of snow! All the neighbors were home from work. That was probably the best anniversary so far! Ha ha! But then again in 2012 on March 15th we went on a convertible cruise with my family. Ohio weather! Have a good day!

Good Morning my favourite fellow Christmas lovers !
Internet will be moved to new place sometime this morning, but we do not move over there till tomorrow so thought I better pop in here quick before that happens.
I am feeling better but my son is sick now. My girls are coming over today to help with stuff. The new place is still not liveable so I think most of the day will be spent there cleaning and scrubbing the cupboards and windows and bathroom. I just cannot imagine that people can live in such filth. at least most of place is done with fresh paint, new floors, furnace and ducts clean. Movers coming tomorrow and while I had hopped to have boxes moved over it looks like that will not happen.
I am tired just thinking of everything that needs doing ! Will be so glad when this is all done.
PS...Christmas tree is going to look great in the front window !
