You're welcome, holiday! ;-)Thanks snowflake!![]()
Thank you. I appreciate it! I am always nervous when he is away. I don't want to wish my weekend away but kind of just want his trip to be over with. Anyway ...I hope you have a chance to unwind before bed time! Safe travels for your Mr. Festive! Any plans with your boys while your hubby is gone?
Thanks for the photo! Mine is easily that "shaggy"---she will look like your photo in a few months! She goes through a few growth spurts a year. I trim her back so her branches don't trail on the table so much, but I don't know anything about how she should properly be trimmed and shaped. She has about six buds on her now---this is the earliest she's ever budded after Christmas, but she has put out a few buds in the springtime over the past couple years.Merry Carey - I thought of you over the weekend when I inherited my SIL's Christmas Cactus, which is in much need of some TLC

Also inherited 2 other plants, which are both in need of some TLC & re-potting.

The plant in the tan pot is a start off of the plant she called "George" - he was a huge plant in their entranceway. I'll see how long I can keep them alive!![]()
Good evening MMC! I wanted to drop in tonight because I'm not sure that I will be around tomorrow. I'm supposed to be heading to my sister-in-law's to start the cleanup process at her house. But I have been coughing all day and under a blanket and sleeping. I just can't seem to stay awake! Also my gracie girl was sick all afternoon – she was throwing up almost every hour! She has me so worried! I may have to take her to the vet in the morning. I got her to take most of her medicine tonight anyway so I'm praying she has a good night and this was just a fluke! The poor sweet girl! Hate it when our babies are sick!
I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!
Thanks everybody! I am feeling a little better, still have a sore throat and very tired. But I have not had a fever this morning so that's good. Still kind of chilled though. Gracie hasn't thrown up since about 530 last night, but she just ate a little bit of her food a few minutes ago, so hopefully that stays down – hoping for no more problems!
I did not go to my sister-in-law's this morning – my sister said she did not want to be cooped up in the car with me! Ha ha! So I've been on the couch pretty much all morning! I may go to my sister-in-law's this afternoon – see once how I feel!
Hope you're all having a wonderful day… As wonderful as a Monday can be anyway!
I'm glad you're feeling better! And lost weight to boot!Merry Monday, all! Just dropping in to let everyone know that my (previously broken) leg has healed like a champ. I don't even need a cane now, and I am slowly but surely regaining enough flex in the ankle region to be able to play the pedals when I play the organ. I am very, very pleased! On another bright note, I weighed myself today and I lost 15 pounds during this little adventure. I am planning on taking full advantage of this, and am now actively watching what I eat. Exercise is still a little rough; even though I'm not using a cane I still have a pretty good lurch going on when I walk. But when all is said and done, I'm doing really well. Hey, it's even sunny here today! Whoooo!
Spending Money = NightmareMy weekend was ok...Decided to trade in my old car..Weekend spending loads a money![]()
He sets high expectations and always delivers.Nope. I don't!![]()
I'm glad he went out on top too. While it was sad to see Peyton retire, it was nice to see he had blue and white on while everyone else on the stage had orange.

Thank you. I appreciate it! I am always nervous when he is away. I don't want to wish my weekend away but kind of just want his trip to be over with. Anyway ...
No major plans. I am happy to have a full weekend off work. The weather is bitter at the moment so we will enjoy a cosy weekend indoors safe and warm.
I hope things work out with regard to your SIL's burial so you all can move forward. (((Hugs))
I agree. I was also thinking that I won't be surprised if your mum proves them wrong. May isn't that far away though so I hope she takes it easy still.
Glad to hear Gracie is feeling better![]()
My friend told me it needs to be trimmed back after it's done blooming. I'm not really sure either what to do with it. Jackie already has 2 starts in a glass jar, in water inside the basket - so this one is already a mama! Thanks for the photo! Mine is easily that "shaggy"---she will look like your photo in a few months! She goes through a few growth spurts a year. I've heard of Christmas cactuses passing from generation to generation, so they can have long lives.
Thanks Brad! Things are looking better!I'm sorry you've both been sick, but I'm glad you're feeling better!
Keeping you and your family in my thoughts & prayers, Holiday~Thanks again festive. The burial has been set for Thursday morning. We will all be going back to her house afterwards to go through things.
I hope the time your husband is away, goes well & quick...yet I don't want to wish away your weekend off!!!! I hope you & the boys have fun!
Thanks HMG...Things are starting to settle down again..Enjoy the rest of your day my friend![]()
Evening all,
Hope your day is going well. We have a few things to get done tonight after the kids are in bed. Then hopefully we can have a little quiet time to unwind before bed. Tomorrow is another busy daybut at least I can look forward to a whole weekend off! Mr Festive will be in Germany from the end of the week till Monday so it will be just me and boys this weekend.
