Well it's not your fault!

I know now, I was young and ignorant at the time. So much went through my head those first few years after her passing.

I want a reboot on my winter weather, it was too mild and not snowy enough for me.

That's why we gotta appreciate each day as much as we can (yes even Monday...remind me that in the morning when I'm tired ).

Just a lazy Sunday here, I woke up late, took a nap for a few hours, and now pretty much ready for bed. My baby is now 8 years old, so hard to believe how fast time is moving. I work the next 6 days in a row for my punishment of having a weekend off, but the weekend off is well worth it. That will bring us right to Easter, we will be heading to my in-laws for Easter and MIL will be making a turkey and I will be making a sirloin spoon roast (most likely wrapped in bacon) for the family's celebration.

It might be Monday but it is a new day and a new week and for that I am thankful.




Spring might not be here yet but I am in a Spring state of mind regardless and I like it!

We are lucky it's a four day week for Mr Festive and I this week and the next. Mr Festive's workplace is closed Fri-Mon. Mine is closed on Sunday and I am not in on Friday or Monday. The children also get Fri and Mon off which means Four day weekend for us!!!

We are excited for Easter and our mini break !!! How will you guys be spending Easter?

The weekend. It's here yet again.
(But we never get tired of it, do we?)

Likewise, we never get tired of reading the ever dwindling count:
Days to the Season: 239
Days to Christmas Day: 281

And we surely never tire of being amazed at how close these exciting Milestones follow each other.
Case in point:
We just passed the 1/3 marker to the Season and here we are only ONE WEEK away from the 1/4 point to Christmas Day.
(Wowzers!)


Well, the cooling trend has begun and rain is a possiblity by this afternoon.
Currently, we stand just over 53 degrees here at this hour in our part of the great MMC Nation.

I recently received some new Christmas albums from Amazon. They are old colonial versions of Christmas songs. I have not listened to all of the new music yet, but I am excited to give a listen.

I really like old style Christmas music. I have some Civil War era Christmas music which is fun to listen to.

Hey all! Hope everyone is well. We have been super busy the past few weeks. So much going on and, before you know it, I haven't stopped by in about three weeks! We have a train in our area that does a Polar Express theme starting in November. Tickets went on sell and they booked the best days quick! Lucky us....I was waiting for the clock to strike midnight. Should be a fun time during the season. Can't wait.

I'm going to stop by tomorrow...we have spring break this week....so I hope to come by and have coffee a few times.

I was sick over Christmas in 1990, it was the last Christmas my mom was alive. We had to cancel the family plans. I felt so horrible for quite a few years after she passed, that she didn't get to see her family her final Christmas.

And, from a quick chart-check, we find that we are now UNDER one single, solitary week away from our next Milestone Marker, the ONE QUARTER point to Christmas Day 2016. Will wonders never cease!
(I certainly hope not.)

Cloudy too. Looks like we could get a sprinkle or two as well.
