Thank you!
It's just tendinitis. It needs some Aleve, some ice, and some exercises for a week, then we'll see how it's doing. Something spontaneously loosened up yesterday evening, and the pain has been less since then.

Did the doctor recommend trying a tennis elbow brace too? Mom wore one for a couple of months when she was having the same problem.

I asked about that ... in my case, she advised against it. She recommended something to cushion my arm where it rests on the desk when I'm marking proof, or when I'm using the mouse---I ordered an inexpensive little wrist rest filled with microbeads to try. She jokingly said she would like to be able give me a year off so I could rest my arm.
P.S. Happily, crocheting doesn't make it hurt!

Could you post titles or links? I'd like to go to Amazon or iTunes and hear the samples. Historic renditions sound interesting!

I would love to listen to Colonial Christmas music, sounds like it could be fun. Enjoy it.

Sorry I have not responded sooner. But here are the two albums I picked up.
Songs for a Williamsburg Christmas- This was originally produced in 1982 by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. It features the Williamsburg Madrigal Singers. They were 5 singers who worked at Williamsburg. The song list includes a lot of old standards such as Deck the Halls, Holly and the Ivy, Joy to the World, and Coventry Carol. However, it does have several songs which were much better known in the 1700s than they are today, such as: O Jesu Sweet, If Angels Sung, A Virgin Most Pure, and Lute-book Lullaby.

The other cd I picked up was A Colonial Folk Christmas- This is by Linda Russell and Companie
This cd, at first listen is very good in terms of historical sound. The instrumentation fits the colonial period and the singing is solid, however, perhaps not quite as time period as the music. This one also has a good mix of well known songs as well as lesser known tunes.
The Holly and the Ivy, I Saw Three Ships, Silent Night, Angels We Have Heard on High are all known standards. However, the cd includes; The Friendly Beasts, Staten Island Hornpipe, Winter Apples, The Seven Blessings of Mary.
I purchased both from Amazon, so hopefully you can find them there. I am planning ahead for the Santa Tracking as I plan on doing a few hours worth of music. I want to feature an hour, or maybe two, with historical versions of Christmas songs. I also want to do some research and be able to provide some information about the songs.

In other Christmas music news... I also purchased an album which came out this past Christmas. A Ghostly Gathering by Midnight Syndicate. It is....different.:) If do like it, quite a bit actually, but be prepared for something different. Midnight Syndicate is known for Halloween Music. They have several Halloween CDs out. Mostly original music with sound effects thrown in. Their Halloween stuff is really good. Well, they decided to take a crack at Christmas Music. They kept their sound, and by the title you can see they kept the Halloween in their too. The CD is a combination of original material as their versions of a few standard Christmas songs. If you get the chance and are looking for something to change up your "normal" selection of Christmas music, I highly recommend the CD.

Yeah, mom was having a lot of problems and said she was to big to even fit behind the steering wheel. So when she went in the doctor was looking over her chart and realized they had never did an ultrasound. So when he did it, he found the first heartbeat, then the second, and then the third. Mom told him he better stop looking after that.
Oh my! That's a crazy story!! And something that would make you go....

Well, today was the last day of school before Spring Break. Which we only get the end of this week through Monday off. While that is great and wonderful, and I am happy for Spring Break... while I was in the middle of teaching class today, my classroom phone rang. It was the elementary school nurse... my youngest, Henry, was in the clinic with a 101.6 fever.:( He seemed perfectly fine when we left for school just a few hours earlier. So, I talked to my principal, who may be the best principal in the world, and he quickly found coverage for the rest of my day and I went and picked Henry up and we came home. Well, if him being sick was not bad enough, we have plans with my wife's family to spend the long weekend at a large cabin at Hocking Hills. Hocking Hills is a nature park with hiking, fishing, and the works. My wife's parents rented the cabin for the whole family, a total of 12 people. So... we were supposed to leave tomorrow after my wife came home from school, we teach in different districts. However, that may change now of course. Depending on how Henry is doing, we may not leave until Friday, or perhaps later. Kind of up in the air at this point.
The poor boy has been sick so much this year. From talking to the nurse at the school, there are a lot of kids out this year with various illness. She said it seems more and more parents are sending their kids to school sick and it is causing the flu and strep throat to spread like wildfire through the elementary. I feel bad that Henry went in today sick, but when we left this morning he was his normal happy and cheerful self, I had no indication he was sick at all.

I feel for you. My youngest went through a spell of illness for a few months. It was frustrating and worrying. Sometimes their immune systems just take a knocking and they seem to catch every bug out there. Don't feel bad. Like you say, Henry was well enough when you sent him in this morning. These things happen. Praying for Henry's health and recovery. I hope you guys can make your trip and enjoy spring break.

I'm sorry to hear Henry's not well. I'll send a prayer for his recovery...and for your family vacation. ;)

I just got back from the site visit. It is amazing how much money the federal government will spend to force one of its mandates to work. Our poles were delivered to a solar farm about 30 miles away. It was a 350 acre open field with THOUSANDS of solar panels on short pedestals. I know I looked crazy, mouth agape with incredulity. The contractor assured me that this was a very small farm. Most are more than a thousand acres.

Woof. I should have stayed in politics.

We have a solar panel field about 5 miles down the road from our house - I stare at it every time I drive by!!!

Awe I bet! Did it start already? How was Har at lunch?
It started around 1:30, it's a whiteout right now. Still warm enough where it's not sticking on the roads just yet.

Har seemed okay at lunch, not real energetic at first-she didn't eat anything while I was gone.
We went on a walk-Brrrrr!!! Lower 30's and cold winds. She was much more awake after that!
Poor girl actually wanted to play, and I had to leave. Hope she's still in the mood tonight, it's a hoot!

I guess I don't know what were typical procedures back then, but that just sounds crazy to me.
Cute story!
