So far this morning I have 3 loaves of bread and a dozen buns rising. Baked beans cooking in the slow cooker. A ham in the oven. Made a batch of sourdough bread crumbs and got the dishes done.
so nice to have a day to relax !

The snow here has now turned to ice pellets. I'm just glad that my husband is home and we don't have to go anywhere tonight. I'm about to make supper and try a new quiche recipe. I've never made a quiche. This should be interesting.

Thank you, Martine! Yes, there has been flooding here before. It doesn't happen all that often any more, but the back field is flooded right now so it is good to keep an eye on things.

Love quiche! Did yours turn out as you wished? Always fun to try new recipes!

I have been struggling with a virus this week and it caught up with me. I refuse to let it ruin our time off though. It's a beautiful morning and it's supposed to be the only dry day for the weekend.

I feel for a big breakfast. After we eat we may check out the Easter fair/market as it's dry out.

Wonderful day yesterday......except for one thing.
Yes, it was sunny.
Indeed, the temps were moderate.
Rain? Nope. No wind, either. Or humidity.
Then, what could be wrong?

POLLEN. Everywhere, the POLLEN!
Great clouds of yellow coating anything and everything.
(Praise the Lord I'm not allergic or I would be under an oxygen tent by now!)
A bit of rain would wash some of this away but we won't likely get any today.
Sixty-Six degrees is the current reading.


But whatever your weather (or pollen count) you have a Fabulous Friday and a Wondrous Weekend Eve, OK?

Wish me luck ... the office is supposed to close at noon today, but sometimes that means something with lots of small print gets dropped on my desk shortly before noon that has to be done by first thing Monday morning. Sometimes "closing at noon" = "leaving at 4:45." Hoping today will not be one of those "sometimes"!

I had my grandkids over this morning and we dyed Easter Eggs, watched an animated show about Jesus then It's the Easter Beagle Charlie Brown. The good part about Easter Beagle is there are a few Christmas scenes! For the rest of the day going to get caught up around the house while watching movies and shows about Jesus. Tomorrow - The Ten Commandments! We have it on DVD but always watch it on TV every year. Sunday we plan to take the kids to church, Easter Egg hunt then out to eat. My work place is closed on Easter but will go in to feed the animals.

What are your plans? How is Harlowe?

My ribs are finally starting to heal some after my accident 2 weeks ago, a little sore but doing better!

Thanks for reminding me about possible weird dreams! Ha ha! Nothing last night but who know about tonight!
