Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good Morning, Saturday Super Stars.
And what better way to start the Weekend than with the arrival at an official MILESTONE DAY!

Days to the Season: 232
Days to Christmas Day: 274

So there you have it -- the first quarter of our journey back to Christmas is behind us.
And as we enter the second quarter of our voyage, we pause to take a deep breath.
(And we will need it when we discover tomorrow just how close the next marker is!)


Beautiful weather holds. Some chance of rain was predicted for yesterday but none materialized.
(If it wasn't for all the pollen, it would be picture-perfect!)
Today will be a bit cooler with another chance of rain.
We are at 58 degrees here right now.

It's been a while. I apologize for my disappearance. I have been thrown one curveball after another. I have been in the same teaching position since just before Christmas. The Grade 7 and 8s and taken a lot of out of me. It's only been .6 of a day, but they are exhausting. I think it's just a tough year.

Finally, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Long story short, although their regular teacher isn't coming back, they will be getting a new teacher after next week. I didn't ask to get out of the position - even though I cannot really afford to live on barely $1,000 every two weeks. Instead, a few things have been finalized and they are legally obliged to post the position for a competition. I can apply, I am just not on the first-come-first-serve list.

Normally, most people would be overly upset about losing their position... I think I will miss teaching a few of the kids, however, I am definitely more suited for the high school work, and I am pretty sure that I will return to supplying nearly every day, too.

Even through all this, I have been keeping everyone here - and Christmas - in my heart. I have missed you guys. Be sure to celebrate Rudolph Day tonight! I should be searching through Netflix shortly for a Christmas movie!

It's a chilly & rainy morning, but we are supposed to reach near 50°. Fingers crossed!
Har & I have some errands to run, we will probably drive by the new house to check out the progress. I did get an email from the listing agent, and they want to close early as they are ahead of the game! Adrian and I will have to pull out a calendar and see what we can do, It's exciting!

Good Milestone Holy Saturday morning, my Christmas friends!

Yesterday felt like Saturday all day, and I woke thing it was Sunday. That's a weird feeling, and still can't seem to shake it LOL. I finally got the grass cut, so the neighbors shouldn't be giving the evil eye anymore...I hope. ;)

We're taking Elizabeth to dance this morning, then I'm playing my guitar. Ever since Jacob's band started really taking off, I've been feeling nostalgic for my band. I stopped by Ed's place yesterday (my cousin & our singer/pianist) to discuss it. He's on board, too, so we're practicing again in a couple weeks!
We're putting the band back together!

Good evening everyone! My day was kind of hectic but I was able to cross several things off of my to do list. I have a lot of running around to do tomorrow as well. Just found out my husband has someone coming to trim a couple of trees in the yard tomorrow morning. I'm hoping it doesn't hold me up. I wanted to food shop early to try and beat the crowds. Good Saturday Morning MMC! Happy Easter Eve! I have a bunch of errands to do today but such is a normal Saturday. I am going to go get some pastries for Easter. I've got to get some groceries, stop for gas etc. A chilly morning but hey it's still late March and it beats the bitter cold winter mornings. I'm glad we made it to the weekend. I hope everyone has some fun Easter weekend plans. I just picked up a fresh bagel for breakfast. Work was crazy busy this week and that was my slow week. Now time to rest this weekend and recover.
