Good morning .. Well I am enjoying my last day of 5 days off. Got a house full of kids today, my kids, a couple of their friends and one of our nieces. So much for a quiet afternoon of watching movies LOL ... going to make oatmeal raisin cookies in a bit for the kids. Hope everyone had a nice Easter. It was nice and low keyed for us. We stayed home and I made a nice dinner, it was very relaxing.

Have a great day!
Great idea...sugar up all them kids! :p ;) :D LOL Sounds tasty! I'm sure they will enjoy it!! Have a great day!! Enjoy your day off!

Good Morning, MMC!!! It's a dreary overcast day here with a predicted high of only 50 degrees. Big change from that sunny and 73 we had yesterday. We also had some nasty storms move through last night. The hail was so bad at a couple of points that I hid in the hall because I thought the Windows might break. Not to much going on here today. I've already ran to Wal-Mart for more allergy meds. I was disappointed that the only candy they had left was peeps. I was hoping to score some half off reeses eggs. Now I'm on to laundry and figuring out what to do with some of this leftover ham for dinner. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

What a great three-day weekend, even though it rained all day yesterday! There was some talk among other folks around that this was the first rainy Easter that any of us remember. It flat-out rained around here! We hid Easter eggs for the little ones at Mrs. Hilda's house, but we hid them inside the house. LOL It's supposed to be for a few days, though.

I don't remember if I mentioned it here, but one of Jacob's old 9th grade teachers gave him a guitar before school dismissed for Spring break! The teacher has been at this school for years, and is a preacher at a local Primitive Baptist church. Even though he's in his late 70's, he's is a wonderful guitarist, too. He and Jacob played guitars together at school last week, and he was so impressed with Jacob that he gave him one of his semi-hollowbody acoustic/electric guitars. It's beautiful! We told Jacob that the gift was too extravagant, and he had to give it back. He said he tried to, but the teacher refused. Later that day, we got an email from the teacher. He went on & on about how impressed he is with both of our kids, and since his wife died he's wanted to give this guitar to a deserving student, but hadn't found one who would really appreciate it until Jacob. Wow. We're now struggling with writing the perfect thank-you letter to him. What a compliment!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good morning made! Hope you get some relief from your allergies soon! When the storms came through last night, Gracie went in the basement. LOL Then she came upstairs & looked at both of us, & went back down the basement & crawled under an end table. What a dog! ;) Glad you stayed safe. Have a great day!! (I wish the weather was as nice today as it was yesterday....ah well...)

Bless her heart!
It can be so frightening for them.
Please give her a hug for Harlowe & I =)

You know better than that holiday...I always think about Friday from Sunday night through Friday night. Then I think about Saturday on Saturday...Sunday on Sunday through about 6PM. :)

Yep, it can be. She must have remembered from last year when I would bring her down the basement during storms. You can hardly hear the storms in the basement. LOL Little booger! I asked Jim "Does she know something about this storm that's coming that we don't?" Thankfully the storms were not too nasty, but they sure lit up the sky & there were a few loud cracks.
I'll give her that hug at lunch! :) Hugs back to Har!! Gracie goes to the vet tomorrow for all of her testing again....and also her yearly vaccinations. Poor girl!
