Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good Tuesday Morning MMC! A windy chilly morning out. It feels like Autumn again. I guess when you're obsessed with Autumn you think about it when it feels like it even in the spring. Monday flew and I know Tuesday will because I have a lot to do this week at work. I'm planning on relaxing some tonight (shocking isn't it). I notice how it's getting lighter out in the morning now. That is nice! I just wish that I could get up a little earlier than I've been lately. I wake up and then I see that I still have a half hour to rest but I close my eyes and what seems like 2 minutes later is already a half hour. Well I'm still always able to get my run in...that's priority #1.

Welcome to day two of the week, which comes, not unexpectedly, with a new set of count numbers.
Let's take a peek:
Days to the Season: 229
Days to Christmas Day: 271

Only 4 weeks remain now until our next Milestone, the one-third marker to Christmas Day 2016.
Add one more day and we arrive at the 200-day Season Window and the start of a 100's level count.
(We live in exciting times, don't we?)


Warm and sunny yesterday, as Mother Nature relents for now and lets us enjoy a few nice days. Today should be pretty good too, with no rain in the forecast.
(Still lots of pollen, however!)
For now, we show 47 degrees here on our back door thermometer but should reach the upper 60's by this afternoon.

It's nice and really cool outside. My truck said it was 49° this morning. I love it!

The kids are out of school for Spring break this week, and Jacob has already eaten all the snacks in the house. All I know is, he better not get into my Halos! I love those little, what are they, tangerines?

I'm also drinking the BEST cup of coffee in the world! Bernie just received his latest order of coffee beans, so I opened a bag and ground a pound of Breakfast Blend, then flew to work and brewed a pot. That's as fresh as I can get it, and it's wonderful!

I just wanted to say thanks again for everyone's friendship and support! I love being a part of such a wonderful Christmas family. You guys keep me coming here every day.

Harlowe has been in a good, steady place the past few weeks. She is on a regular schedule with her different meds, and is taking them like a champ! They seem to be working well for her, and I am so thankful. The only issues she has from time to time is her cough, and being restless at night, but even they have improved. As long as she isn't in pain, discomfort, or distress, I am happy.
Please keep her in your prayers, we really appreciate them!

One bit of good news that I don't think I ever shared is that I got a nice raise and promotion at work.
It was unexpected and greatly appreciated. I was called into the VP's office on a Friday afternoon, and he told me that he was very impressed with everything I've done on this project, that I surpassed & exceeded his expectations, and he was very grateful. And he didn't want me going anywhere!
It's always nice to be complimented and get positive feedback at work.

Adrian & I are also going to be able to close early on our house, a few months early actually!
We are very excited. And we are really going to have to buckle down and get packing
The good thing about this move is that it's only a few miles away this time around.
We will be making our interior picks this weekend, and starting to design our fireplace. It's starting to feel very real.

I'm going to go over to our house on my lunch break to check out the progress =]

Good morning, MMC!

Long day yesterday. There was almost an inch or rain that fell here. Came home to a puddle in the basement. It hasn't gone down yet, but it hasn't risen, either. Yay! Going to be doing projects around the house today ~ just in case the puddle grows.

Easter was nice. It was a gorgeous day ~ almost 70 degrees! My meal changed as I made the mistake of making pancakes with wild berry sauce for breakfast. It was so filling that lasagna did not sound appetizing any more so we had salad.

Early April cold is coming (just a friendly reminder ).

Actually, our coldest day in the 15 day forecast is 48º on April 3rd. Other than that our highs range from upper 50's to upper 60's. We do have some chilly nights coming though. Good sleeping!
