Nope. You right about that. The older you get the faster time flies.I hope it slows down too. But it doesn't seem time ever slows down much anymore.
I do!Oh ya, they would. I'm going to try to make them, maybe next week!
You don't happen to have her beer cheese recipe, do you? I have a recipe for homemade pretzel bites & I was thinking I should look for a good beer cheese recipe to go with them!Darn, now that sounds good too! LOL

I've never had the pleasure of trying them, but I'd like to sometime.
They are amazing!! Our next door neighbor lady at the lake was born/raised in Alabama & when they would go back to her home town they would always bring back boiled peanuts. Yumm-o! BUT last summer they sold their place & moved to Florida! No more boiled peanuts for me!My hubby does not like them - at all! I love um!

That's a great promise! I started reading a book Monday night - haven't picked it up since...and it seemed good. Maybe tonight! I have that problem though too - I have to go back & re-read a little bit to catch myself back up. Ha ha!Thank you!
I made a promise to myself last week that I would allow myself enough free time to actually read a chapter or two of my books each night, not only does it relax me and help me sleep better, it helps me not to forget what point I'm at in my book
xx
You are lucky to live in an area where they are a popular amenity! That's what's funny about talking with people from all over the place. I can't imagine anyone who doesn't like boiled peanuts, much less never having tried them! LOL
You're very welcome!!That would be awesome! Thank you, Thank you!!!![]()
Yes unfortunately.Nope. You right about that. The older you get the faster time flies.
We're deprived. That's what's funny about talking with people from all over the place. I can't imagine anyone who doesn't like boiled peanuts, much less never having tried them! LOL
I found some recipes for boiling them at home. But I don't know where one could find raw peanuts to begin with. Well, I'll just have to head south one of these days! I love um!

I love all kinds of nuts. Cashews, almonds, pecans, and pistachios are my favorites.
And trail mix is one of my favorite snacks.
I have been on a chocolate & peanut butter enhanced trail mix kick lately![]()
Aw, c'mon ... now I want a snack (that doesn't come in a box or cellophane)!Yesterday Moms Amish lady Emma made us Cheddar Pepper Pretzels. OMGosh! Delicious! I have been craving them today! They had a nice spicy kick. Emma said she likes to make them with a little more kick, but she only made a partial batch so she wasn't sure how much pepper to use. She said "they are really good with beer!" And I have no doubt that they would be!She gave me the recipe & she's going to pick up some Cheddar Powder for me at their Amish store this weekend.

They look a wee bit like chestnuts, don't they?I've never had boiled peanuts either but I'm inclined to think I would like them. It makes me think of these little nuts called shatines that I had in the west indies. They are a type of nut that they boil in seasoned/salted water. They have a hard shell and inside is a large nut similar to a peanut. The locals have them as a snack. Delicious!

The infinite variety is one of the great things about the 'Pines! Not to worry. The 'Pines has all kinds to offer. Decide when you get there!
That's how I felt when I grew up and moved away from home, and discovered for the first time that no one outside of the county where I grew up had ever heard of kinklings! That's what's funny about talking with people from all over the place. I can't imagine anyone who doesn't like boiled peanuts, much less never having tried them! LOL
