Hope you all had a great time!! Were you able to go to Hocking Hills over Easter weekend? I thought of you when I saw the murderer escaped from prison in Nelsonville. I was glad to hear he was caught!

Just checking in for a quick "hello." It's been an interesting week. I have been told that my job has been "posted" and should be filled by the middle of next week. I'm really hoping so!

Today was interesting... I could not teach my physical education classes. At hockey last night, I went to block a slap shot and was struck in the side of the neck with a puck. It was quite painful. I didn't get a concussion, but I had plenty of difficulty breathing and getting up afterward... I just came back from the doctor, and it seems as if everything is OK. I just need to keep icing and watching it to make sure it goes down. Fun stuff!

Well, I need to get some school work done. Have a great Wednesday evening, everyone. See you at the 'Pines!

The moment I have been talking about is here, my find from Goodwill looks to be a commemorative light from the 50th anniversary of White Christmas. It has a tag from Universal dated for 2004. I also found a book today at Goodwill that I have had my eye on Amazon for a few years now. I got it for a $1 instead of the $20+. It is called Holidays on Display.

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday Eve! We have a very icky day going on outside today. WINDY, Rain, dark & dreary....nasty! It will make me appreciate the next sunny day even more! :D We had storms roll through last night - Gracie did it again, she was waiting for me to open the basement door. I opened it & down she went & crawled under the end table! We both slept down there til about 1am when the storms were through & then we went to bed. I think we started something w/ bringing her down the basement during storms! :)

Tonight Emma (Moms Amish lady) is making dinner for our family! I'm so excited! She's making "Haystacks" After dinner she wants to go to the brew barn. She would like to see the place & try a craft beer! Mom has never been there either, so she is coming along too. Should be a fun night!

I forgot to tell you all that the wild rose bush had it's first bloom on Saturday and a couple more since then. My first sign of spring! It pulled at my heart a little knowing that this may very well be the last time I see it bloom if we sell the house. :(

This will probably reveal my ignorance of roses, but ... is there any way you could pot it and take it with you? Or is it too big, or the roots too deep? It might be a nice way to take some of "the old place" with you.

If not, at least take some photos with you.

Thanks for answering! I can try looking for the photo on Google Images and see if there is a pattern that goes with it. They were beautifully made!

It crossed my mind this morning as well about taking a cutting with me but not sure if this is possible with this type of plant. I know even less than you! I never thought about taking the whole thing with me but you have me thinking now.

I have zero gardening skills so I will have to check into how I go about it. Hmmm if it can be done , it sure would be lovely not to mention a fantastic way of taking a little piece of our first home with us!!! Thanks Merry. I'll keep you posted!

If you have a nursery or garden center in your area, someone there might be able to give you some good advice.
