How have you all been ? Things here have been crazy busy. But the good thing is that we now have almost everything unpacked and put in its rightful place in our new home.
Hopefully now I will have more time to hang out with you guys.
Now off to help someone special who needs a hand with cleaning.

Thus, we again mark our progress:
Days to the Season: 225
Days to Christmas Day: 267

And on this morning, we note with pleasure (and just a bit of trepidation) that TWO Milestones are rapidly creeping up on us.
1) The one-third marker to Christmas Day, set to arrive April 26 and
2) The 200-day Season Window which arrives the following day, on the 27th.
BACK-TO-BACK MILESTONES!
(Ain't we got fun.)


Some rain over night has made for a damp morning here in central NC.
The temp stands at 65 degrees but it should warm up with clearing skies by this afternoon.


Well, enjoy your weekend --- and don't forget the NCAA Tournament games this evening.

We have three presidential candidates in town, it should be interesting!

Adi & I have a meeting to make our home picks tomorrow, we are looking forward to it!
We plan to run errands, have lunch, and head over to our new neighborhood.
And we'll probably start packing a little on Sunday.

We have no plans as such. I woke up to a very dark and rainy morning. My youngest and I are still struggling with a cold and cough so it will be a sofa day I think. Not sure which movie. We watched The Goonies last Saturday. I feel for another film from that era. Love the 80s

Other than that I have work tomorrow. The kids finished school yesterday for their two week spring break. I better get as much rest as I can today before next week LOL!

Good Saturday Morning MMC! Into the first weekend of April after a long Friday. I worked 2 hours late so it shortened my Friday evening but fortunately that won't happen next Friday when I am off. Anyway, the weather is changing out because it was warm yesterday and humid. We got thunderstorms and now it's cooler and more damp. Snow showers tonight? Crazy April weather. I was debating whether I should go to the mall today or not. I may just wait to go till I'm off on Friday. I really want to relax today. I'll see how I feel later. Other than that I do have errands and exercise to do (typical Saturday). I'm glad we made it to the weekend again.

Happy Saturday!
I'm having my coffee and relaxing for a few minutes. I'm going to start cooking breakfast soon, my two oldest have work this morning. My husband left earlier, he had to be on a job in the city today. We're expecting scattered showers today with a high of 55 degrees. I would love to stay in but I have to go food shopping. Not too much else going on. I already started working on the laundry. I have a couple of other chores to do around the house. That's about it. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

I just posted this in the recipe thread, but here is the Recipe for the amazing dip I mentioned! =]

Beer Cheese Dip

2 8 oz. packages cream cheese
1 cup Mayo
1 package Hidden Valley Ranch dip mix
1/2 cup Beer (you can also substitute w/ NA beer)
2 cup Sharp cheddar cheese

Stir & chill

Serve with pretzels, crackers, pita bread, chips, etc.

Enjoy!!

snowflake22 I know you mentionned that today you were going to chose interior finishings for your new home. What is your style? Are you more contemporary, rustic, etc.? I think I would be overwhelmed with all of the options. It helps if you know exactly what you like though.

Woke up early but I was able to get back to sleep. My husband had to go in to work for a few hours this morning, so I'm taking it easy for now. I have no plans for today but I do have to do some grocery shopping. The weather is supposed to get much colder later today and for the next few days. They're calling it the return of the polar vortex. I think it will be a day to catch up on our DVR and watch the World Figure Skating Championships (big skating fan here).

snowflake22 I know you mentionned that today you were going to chose interior finishings for your new home. What is your style? Are you more contemporary, rustic, etc.? I think I would be overwhelmed with all of the options. It helps if you know exactly what you like though.

It has gotten cold again here, as well. And snowing much more than I had hoped!

I used to be Lodge decor 100%. While I still love it, I have implemented primitive and country. So I have a combination of the three =]
My mom has always gone antiquing, and has some beautiful pieces. I have some, as well, and am trying to figure out where to put them in the new house.
I just love the magazine Country Sampler, and get many great ideas from it!

Love the Goonies!! I just bought my friend a Goonies bracelet for her birthday! She & I used to watch that movie together all the time-one of our favorites. We miss the good ol' days, so I thought it would be a fun & unique gift.

Wow The Goonies bracelet sounds perfect. I didn't know they existed. How fun. She will love it.. The Goonies is an all time favourite and it's been a special experience introducing it to my sons and having them become fans too. My brother and I used to watch it almost every weekend when we were young

Just opened my blinds, and see a winter wonderland. Wasn't expecting that!
