The snow we had yesterday was "Christmas shopping" snow ~ big fluffy flakes that melted on contact and did not impede visibility. My favorite kind!!
A few years back I had taken pictures with my cell of snow "clumps" that fell ~ it was so cool looking and covered the ground in a matter of minutes. The pictures didn't turn out as well as I had hoped so I deleted them.

I do have a headache coming on, but I think that's related to the crick in my neck. I need to go find some Aleve. That's good stuff! I used to like BC Powders, but they were causing me some tummy issues, so I quit with them. They sure do work, though!

Lol!!! Good one!! I did that once with potato tots years ago. Got off duty at 5 p.m...left the bar at 2a.m. got home wanted tots and fell asleep at the table. Tots were like raisins when I woke up to the stench!!..-- good times

Too funny!! When I lived with a friend in an apartment years ago, we did that with a pizza. OOPS! Woke up to a hockey puck & STINK!

One of my younger brothers had a heart attack today; he's 49 years old. Had to get two stents put in because one artery was 99% clogged and the other one was 70% clogged.

I'm at the hospital now visiting him now, drove 3 counties over to come over to check on him.

Oh, Xmas, I am so sorry. Your brother is in my thoughts and prayers!

Hope everyone had a good night. So far it seems a lot more settled today. Yesterday we had everything from sunshine to gale force winds to snow/sleet and it varied from mild to cold. Very erratic weather.

Not up to much today other than spending time with the kids and trying to work in between. Enjoy your day everyone.

Good Morning, Folks.

Moving right along now, we find ourselves starting to approach two back-to-back Milestone markers. Details to follow.

First:
Days to the Season: 220
Days to Christmas Day: 262

And that first figure is correct. We are but 20 days away from the close of the 200's Season count numbers and the start of the 100's, hard though that may be to believe.
But the day before that, we enter the 2nd third of our Christmas Day count.
(Doesn't this all seem to be happening too soon??)


We had a cool one here yesterday, but with clear skies, no wind and a reduced pollen count, it wasn't really bad at all.
The rains finally arrived overnight and we have a wet start in front of us this morning, where the thermometer stands at 58 degrees here in the capital city.

It's going to be windy today with showers/thunderstorms, highs near 57 degrees. Cooler temperatures will be back this weekend. I'm heading out in a little bit, Maggie has a groomer appointment. Typical day of errands and chores. I'm going to make chicken pot pies for dinner. Islander vs. Ranger game this evening. That's about it for me!

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday Eve!!!! Woot! I don't even mind that it's rainy again today....it's Friday Eve! (actually Friday for me, but I won't rub that in. Ha ha) I hope your all off to a good start this morning!

Had a pretty good night last night. I took Gracie for another walk after work. We got 4 miles in yesterday - I think that's the most miles Gracie has ever done in a day (on an actual walk - she probably gets that every day running around the yard. ha ha) I ran to the grocery for Emma, then visited with her & Mom. Got home & turned on the Pirates game & our neighbor Cory got in the game! It was SO exciting to see him on the mound again I nearly cried! It's been a long time coming for him! He did OK - his Mom sent me a text, she said "he did OK - he got his feet wet again!" Must have been nerve-wracking for him, I would think! Anyway, hopefully we'll be seeing more of him on TV!

Merry Friday Eve!! Such a dreary day today! My oldest daughter is home with the stomach bug. It started around 1:30. She woke me up so I was up with her, she finally went back to bed and I fell asleep but she was up again but then my youngest daughter woke me up to tell me her sister was sick in the bathroom!! I Everyone was up for a good portion of the night...lol I dropped my youngest daughter off at school so she could sleep in a bit and I hit Starbucks for another coffee! Just work for me today and not too much else. Hope everyone has a great day!

Well this weekend should not disappoint! This afternoon my bro/sil from Cape Cod fly in for the weekend! Tomorrow morning I have to pick chicken for my nieces wedding! Should be "fun"! Emma is going to help too - she'll probably be the best chicken picker there! When we are done with that either I, or someone else in the family will run Emma back home to Amishville. The lake is supposed to open this weekend so I would like to do some cleaning out there tomorrow afternoon & stay there tomorrow night. Saturday is my nieces wedding! That's a full day! Should be a very musical wedding. The groom is in a couple bands, his Dad is in a couple bands - there whole family is very talented. Not sure why they hired a band for the wedding b/c I'm sure they will be off & on stage all night! (They are friends with the band they have hired, so it's all good) Sunday we have no plans but will probably hang with my bro/sil, my bro will want to go out to eat at our favorite Mexican restaurant, I'm sure. That's about it!
