I bought my wife a Christmas present last month. That's the earliest I've ever got her a Christmas present. If you've ever been to Sonic (fast food drive in), they have this ice called Nugget Ice. It's soft and very chewable. My wife just loves it. So every week I stop by Sonic and pick up a bag for her.
Well I got to thinking and thought I would see how much a nugget ice maker costs. After a long search, $3000 on Amazon. I thought "Oh well, I'll keep buying from Sonic". But then a friend told me about this start up company selling a counter top nugget ice machine for $450. We had just got our tax return check and I thought, why not? So I ordered one. I just got an email saying it will be delivered in July. I didn't expect it so soon, so it looks like it will be a Christmas in July present.

This is not an ad. I just wanted to share. I'm kind of excited because I never get to surprise her with a big gift anymore. Hopefully she'll like.

That's thoughtful of you! She'll love it, especially in July.
We have a water/ice machine at the office. The ice it makes is porous little nuggets, a bit smaller than a walnut, so I think it's similar to what you describe. I don't chew ice, but it works fine when I need to ice my elbow!

Wishing everyone a good start to the week. I have the day off after working this weekend. The store is busier and busier, I wonder how we make it through alive each weekend. I was so exhausted last night (as was hubby) that we fell asleep before the Game of Thrones season premiere. We were looking forward to it all day but just didn't make it. It's on dvr, I'm doing my best to stay away from spoilers. I have some errands to run and chores to do but right now I'm taking it easy. Procrastination (at home) is my middle name.
My husband and I are also huge fans of Game of Thrones. We are a couple seasons behind and boy is it hard to avoid spoilers. We really need to catch up! It's the only show I know that makes the headlines LOL.

This mornings headline :
'UK Weather: 'Winter is back' as forecasters warn of rain, sleet and even SNOW'

Great.

Grrrrrr!
Tomorrow we're supposed to have rain and temps in the 40s (F)---pretty wintry for the end of April. But at least they're not talking about snow or sleet.

Glad to hear you all had a good time. I bet the food was great! :D
LOL sounds like Gracie was up to her usual mischief.
Indeed, her usual mischief! This morning she wouldn't come downstairs. She was under our bed. So I went upstairs & somehow she managed to get herself tangled in my iHome cord. We had to move the bed to get her out. She didn't care, she was just hanging out under there. LOL! Goofy dog!
The food at the wedding was very good. Almost all the weddings around here have the same foods - fried chicken & roast beef or bbq pulled pork (this one was pork) chicken & noodles, dressing, coleslaw, corn, sometimes green beans, bread & butter & cake or cupcakes. Yum!
Hope your Monday is going well!! xx

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

And Happy Rudy Day! (I miss the Rudolph smilie we used to have)

I had a pretty good weekend, keeping busy with things like shopping with Nancy, cleaning around the house, Elizabeth dancing, church and a family reunion. I had to come to work just to get some rest.

Elizabeth's ballet class danced at the local university's Arts fest on Saturday. It was a great afternoon. The next morning, she was on the front page of the paper! Oh, we were all so proud of her. Mama even announced it in church LOL!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

I just found a huge tick embedded in Harlowe :(
Adi just helped me remove it, kind of scares me that it was as big is it was because that means it's probably been attached to her for a couple of days. She was just groomed on Friday, so I'm assuming it happened shortly after that.
I believe that explains why she's been shaking the past two days. I'm sure the packing doesn't help, but something was off that I couldn't explain. The minute that I found it on her she started shaking even more so and didn't want me touching her there. She seems much better now that we removed it and cleaned it out. Hateful little things!
She is on frontline, and she just had her lymes disease vaccination A week & a half ago.
So glad you got it off of her!! I just Frontlined my boys too. I dislike ticks so much!

Good morning, MMC!

I hope everyone is doing well!

My plans changed Friday afternoon when my brother told me that his Saturday work was cancelled. The shop in Japan that makes the parts his company uses was destroyed in the last earthquake there. :( Small world! Anyhow, he was worried about getting into work this coming week (should there be work) because the road he takes is going to have major construction done. We drove down there to find alternate routes so he would have less stress this morning. It was rather interesting to see where he works. We went to a few thrift stores down that way and I found a few things for the store.

Nice day, but it got even better when I got home. Lucy Fur showed up!!! She had been away since shortly after the start of the year. She can take care of herself so I figured she might have found herself an inside home. Even though I missed her, I wasn't worried about her. So happy to see her!

Yesterday was busy with laundry and spending quality time with Palmer.

Working on store stuff the rest of the week. Going to have a big sale next month so I have to prep. I'll pop in when I can.

Be safe and Merry!!!
Have a great day Meceka. Sorry to hear about that store destroyed that is terrible.

Good morning, friends~
Happy Monday!
It's going to be a caffeine filled day, I am quite exhausted. Cheers, all!
Wishing you a blessed start to your week.
Have a cozy & Merry day!

Have a wonderful Monday...hope it flies by for you!

So cute!

Merry Morning everybody,
April is sailing away from us this week. Enjoy the last of it.
My eldest is home sick today so it will be a hectic day as I try to work in between. I also need to ring my mum but with the time difference she won't be awake yet. However later on may not be a good time for me lol Such a pain. Hope we can sync our time as I found a great deal for her flight over here for the summer! I can't believe it's almost time again!! I was so down at the end of summer last year when she left.

Have a great day all.

Have a great day Festive!! Hope your son is feeling better!

Good Monday Morning MMC! Happy Rudolph Day #4! I know Crown will have some great news for us today regarding those upcoming big milestones this week. April turns to May next weekend (doesn't seem possible). Lots of good news this week for us Christmas season fans. Hope everyone had a great weekend. The weather was unbelievable again yesterday. It already is looking like next weekend is another beautiful weather weekend with 65 and sunny. Hard to beat that weather. I'm glad this year we've been staying pretty close to normal most of the spring. I love summer but I don't need it to get too warm until Memorial Day. Looking forward to several 3 day weekends coming this late spring/through summer.
Have a great Monday everyone! Just think if you can have a good Monday that usually means the rest of the week will be even better!
Happy Monday Edge...have a great day!

Happy Rudolph Day!!!
Happy Rudolph and Monday to you too, Rich!

Good morning, everyone!

It has been a very rushed morning. Now, I finally have a chance to relax, although I have only been awake for about an hour and a half!

For the first time this year, I am teaching somewhere that isn't Russell. I was told on Friday that it could be a quiet week, as no teachers were away for various school related activities. I received a call for North Dundas this morning, which is about a 45 minute drive away. When I received the call, I was half awake - after all, it was 6am... They used to start at 8:15am, so I thought I had plenty of time... Then, when I looked to confirm the start time, it said 8am... Uh oh! And this was at 7:12am!! Anyway, I had to sprint out the door. Thankfully, Kim was able clean up my breakfast... I made it just after the bell.

The somewhat good part? After all this rushing, I have the first period off! I could have taken my time after all. Oh well... I'm glad I am here. I have three Grade 11 and 12 classes. They should be easy to handle. I am going to imagine, too, that a bunch will probably just go home as they're only really work periods and I cannot teach them much... Physics, Calculous and Vectors as well as Advanced Functions are just too much for me!

As I said before, I hope to be around much more now... Despite only teaching Phys Ed. all last week, I never really received my breaks, as I was always asked to fill in another class.

Well, I think that was a long post. I hope you all had a great weekend. It's hard to believe that another Rudolph Day has arrived! Only 8 months to go until we reach the most Magical Day of the Year!

Have a great Monday, everyone!
Have a good day Brent!

Good morning everyone, Happy Monday!
I'm heading out in a few minutes, I have a doctor appointment this morning. Just a routine yearly exam. I'm going to run a couple of errands afterward then head back home to work on some chores around the house. My youngest has off today, we're going to grab Chipotle for lunch and then do some shopping later this afternoon. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
Chipotle sounds so good...enjoy your day HMG!

Morning MMC! Hope you all had a great weekend!
Happy Monday Frosty!

Good morning MMC!! Happy Monday!!!! Hope you all had a great weekend! Yesterday the weather was just amazing!! I sat outside almost all day at the lake! Today is gorgeous too, but of course I'm stuck inside! ;) We are supposed to hit almost 80º today!! Although it's only 63º in the office this morning. Brrrrrr! I have my space heater going! :)

Hope you all have a Merry Monday!

OH UGGGGH!! So glad you were able to remove it! I just started Gracie on her flea/tick meds a couple weeks ago. YUCK! I'm sure Har is happy that thing is gone!

Thank you HMG . He is already feeling better. SO hopefully he should be fine for school tomorrow.

I am beyond excited! It was so tough when she left last year. I can't believe it's almost time for her to come again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am hoping the summer take it's time while she is here. Time goes so quickly and we only see each once per year.
Have a great day!
Have a wonderful time with your Mum! How exciting for you both!

Happy (early) Anniversary! I hope the weather holds out for you.

Savannah is pretty nice in the Spring, before the sand gnats come out. LOL

Glad to see you posting in the Countdown! I hope you stay with us! :)
Thank you Bradmac!!!
Your post has really got me thinking of a trip to Savannah soon.
I know the wife would like it.
