Thanks, I'm sure Jacob will do well. He's pretty smart; just ask him. ;)

I might post a picture of her garden, but it's pretty small. I'm afraid I might get teased by some of you more horticulturally-adept members! :D

Looking forward to that book!
Don't worry I don't fall into that group of expertise I can assure you :D :D and I have a long list of failed gardening projects to prove it :D

Ugh! Horrid things!

Glad you enjoyed your walk. Reminds me of when I started walking without a pram/stroller after a few years of doing it.
Lol - I bet, it seems like something is missing! Yet very freeing! ;)

I've been reading posts, but I haven't posted in a while!

PTL, we only have a month of school left! I hate school, but I'm glad DD still likes it. She'll be in sixth grade next year. We're nearly half-way through! I don't want to wish her childhood away, but I can't wait for high school graduation so I can be finished with school. If she chooses to go to college, she's on her own as far as the school work!

We are having an addition built on our house. We're gaining a master bedroom & bathroom, with a walk-in closet and laundry room. There will also be a "rec room" & bathroom in the basement underneath it. We're going from a 3 bed/2 bath to a 4 bed/4 bath. That sounds big, but it really isn't that big compared to most. I just hate that I'll have to clean it all...; basement is dug & block is up, so progress is being made.

I'm asking for prayers for myself. Nothing is wrong, I'm just in a "funk", and I know the prayers of friends will help me out of it. Sometimes I let everything overwhelm me & I start shutting down. I know that the only way to eat the elephant is one bite at a time, and I'm hoping that after I get my exercise in tonight it will clear my foggy brain & give me some energy!

I hope everyone has a great Pines Day and is looking forward to the weekend!

It's snowing out.
It's been on and off all day along with hail showers. It's not sticking because it's mixed with rain.

On my walk to pick up the kids I could smell people's wood fires. I had to remind myself it's not December :D

Brrrrr :brr

As much as I love the smell of wood fire, I'm sorry that you need them this time of year & that it's snowing again! And I'm thinking I must be pretty wimpy thinking it was so cold this morning @ 44º!
I hope your weather improves very soon & you are having a good evening!

Nice to see you Whitney!!! Sending (((hugs))) & prayers your way!! I hope prayers, a little exercise & visiting MMC will help bring you out of your funk!

How exciting (and overwhelming) to be adding on to your home! Sounds like it will be VERY NICE when it's all complete! Just takes time - I know cuz we added on in 2014! I hope everything goes very smoothly!!

I hope the rest of the school year goes well for you DD!! I wouldn't be very thrilled with the whole school thing if we had kids either. Never did like school! ;) I hope she continues to like it!

Have a great day! I'll keep you in my prayers!

It's still hard to believe that Jacob starts college in the fall. Where'd my little buddy go?!? Still, I always look forward to a summer free of fighting over homework LOL.

Congrats on the addition! I'd love to add a new master bedroom & bath some day!

Sending prayers for relief from your stress right now. Take care!

That boy.

The Spelling Bee was a bust. I can't believe that boy missed that word.

Quiche.

Really? He started with a "K" and it went downhill from there. He said he'd never heard of it before.

I quietly slipped out the back door. Ok, not really, but come on!

Sounds like Jacob is going to be eating Quiche this weekend!!! :P OOPS!!! Sorry to hear that Brad!

I was googling it myself but couldn't find anything like what you described. I am so glad you posted a picture of it. That is truly a beautiful piece. Do you know the name of the artist? I will have to show this to Mr Festive, he studied fine art and would appreciate this.
I Googled to find out, and ... someone is selling a copy of the print on Amazon!
The artist is Mario Fernandez. My dad bought our copy around 1992, I think.

Thank you HMG! Really appreciate that. Hoping there is nothing to be concerned about! xx
