Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump/Pines/WednesDAY! Hope everyone is off to a great start!
I woke up a few minutes early today, looked at the weather on my phone & it was already 60º! I went downstairs & got ready...hollered upstairs & asked Gracie if she wanted to go for a walk. She flew down the steps at lightening speed & off we went! We only got just over a mile in, but it's a great way to start the day. Now that it's light earlier we should do that more often! We are supposed to hit 77º today with only a slight chance of rain! Gracie & I walked last night & it was so muggy!! I have a feeling today may be the same! *not complaining* (yet!)

Good evening,

A day at work where I had a TON to do, all of it was done with me clocking out just 6 minutes late. Busted my butt to get out on time, because it was Deadpool day!!! I had to pick up the blu ray, just loved that movie at the theater. JP had baseball practice this evening, run, run, run, that is life at this stage. We will be heading back to Mohegan Sun to cheer on the Black Wolves again on Monday night. It is game one of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Buffalo Bandits. The game on this past Friday night we got there early to watch practice when one of the Wolves, defenseman Brett Manney, tossed a lacrosse ball to each of my boys, needless to say, they were thrilled.

Day off tomorrow, not much planned, I may make a run to see if Hallmark has the Dream Books out yet. I hope you all had a terrific Tuesday.

Back on schedule today and enjoying a cup of coffee while I figure out my to-do list for the day ~ going to be busy, as usual. When I was at the library on Saturday, I found The Muppet Christmas Movie in the used book sale area and I am hoping to find the time to watch it tonight ~ that should keep motivated today!

Merry Morning and Happy Pines Day,
It is a murky morning with temps slightly above average in the mid 50sF.
My husband just texted me a photo of a homemade shortbread and duffin (donut muffin combination) that he found on his desk waiting for him. The ladies in his office spoil him rotten! He's taunting me as he knows how I love cake!

I have several things I need to get done as soon as I get visions of cake out of my head so I better get cracking. Have a lovely day everyone. See you all later at the Pines but until then make it a great day!

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Happy Hump Day and of course Pines Day! We made it to the middle of the week. Maybe I can start to dream of my 3 day weekend ahead today as I'm off next Monday to take my mom to brunch for a late Mother's Day celebration. It is gorgeous outside. I had to close my window last night cause it was really chilly in my room. Usually by now I'm getting ready to soon put the a/c up. Not this year at least not yet. Looks like we're going to have a warmer day today and pretty much perfect weather. Anyway as I stated today I start my 5th year at this job which blows my mind away because I remember my 1st day here 4 years ago today like it was yesterday.

Well, we had another wonderful dry day yesterday with moderate temps. The only negative was the humidity, but it's only up slightly.
Today shows a better chance for rain.
We currently record 67.6 sunny degrees here on our digital back door thermometer.

My Mom is doing pretty well. We had a "family meeting" last night. Went over my brother/SIL's estate figures (my sis was executor of estate) - also talked about plans for Mom/Emma. We would like to see Emma stay indefinitely. Mom is doing well but she gets a little confused or forgetful sometimes. She hasn't driven since February & she keeps asking about driving again. None of us really want her too. Do I think she could, yes, but I would hate for her to hurt someone if she gets confused & makes a mistake. We need to have a talk with her about this. I don't think she really wants to drive, but I think she wants to know she can. I hate this...

Good morning everyone, Happy Pines Day!
I have to head back to the mall today, I didn't get an outfit yesterday for the bridal shower that I have to attend this weekend. My daughter ended up coming with me and I couldn't concentrate. The shopping trip turned in to being all about her, lol. At least she got an outfit. I hope I find something today!
Today is also my wedding anniversary, 26 years. Time flies when you're having fun. I can't believe all of my girls are now older than I was when I met their father. I wish time would slow down. We'll be going out for dinner to celebrate.

Happy Anniversary!
Today is my hubby's 25th Anniversary at UPS. They had a little celebration for him this morning. I can't believe he's been there 25 years!!! We're too young for that! (he started right out of HS)
