Christmas Countdown - 2016

[Holiday]

It can taste great, but it doesn't usually agree with me!

I try to eat healthier in general, especially during the week. All bets are off on the weekend, that is my cheat time

Now you all have me hungry for Taco Bell already this morning!! I love TB! I have probably only been there 2 times in the last 5 years, but I love it! I always get their plain ol taco's - with hot sauce! Mmm, Mmm!

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday! Whoop!

It is a gorgeous, chilly morning! It was perfect for walking with Gracie this morning. I just wanted to keep walking - but this darn work thing got in the way! Then I get home & my hubby comes downstairs in jeans & a t-shirt & announces "Guess who gets the day off today? " Lucky duck! At least I only have to work until noon!

I got all my flowers planted last night. Finished up just minutes before it started pouring down rain! I think I over-bought flowers...had to dig out some pots that I normally don't use, both at home & at the lake. OOPS!

I'm a little bummed that they are all planted. I love planting flowers. Ah well - I may have to pick up a flower or 2 here & there... I do have more pots if needed!

Love the flowers. My wife will start planting flowers around here once she gets out of school (Kindergarten teacher) in a couple of weeks. For some reason she put it off this year. She usually has them done in April.

Yes my Friends, we are soon to switch sides -- from being under to being over half way back around to our long-awaited and much coveted Christmas Season.
And that point will be reached THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW!

Sadly, I will not be here to celebrate with you!
But never fear. You will be in the capable hands of our very own Edge on that auspicious day Sunday!


Had some thunder rumbles late yesterday but no rain until late.
More rain possible today but it should be clear for traveling south tomorrow.
We are currently at 68 slightly overcast degrees here in the capital city.

I'm sorry to hear that your hubby isn't feeling well~ I'll keep him in my thoughts & prayers.
What a sweetheart to keep Dad company.

Thank you, I am feeling much more optimistic about things right now.
I picked up the new heart medicine at the vet, and it is nice & small.
We will try it in the morning with her diuretic & antibiotic.

She took her antibiotic well tonight in boiled chicken (it's also a small pill) so that made me happy.

I removed most of her treats, but still left a few so she's not completely deprived. But she'll eat better for me now, and my hope is that I'll be able to hide meds in meals as well as give them with other treats. Keep it fresh so she doesn't get bored.

I'm glad that you are feeling more optimistic and that things are improving with Harlowe. Was she able to take her new heart medicine this morning? I'm happy to have started my 3-day weekend, yes. But they announce rain so I think it will be a weekend to catch up on some movies. Do you have any plans for this weekend?

Beautiful flowers! We'll be planting some in two weeks, on my next weekend off. I love to go to the market and pick out flowers. Really looking forward to that.

Working late ... waiting for a creative deck to come in. The writer has just informed us that he's having computer trouble and can't make any progress, so no telling when the work will come. I was hoping I could get home at a decent hour this evening to rest up for tomorrow.

I hope that everyone had a nice day and has been enjoying an even nicer evening.

Awww silly Gracie. This reminds me that at the dog park a couple of weeks ago, I saw a soft-coated wheaten terrier (that is her breed right? or it looked like Gracie) and thought of you and your adorable dog. We also saw an Irish wolfhound, my husband's favourite kind of dog. I was just in awe at how big it was and so majestic. What can I say, I just love dogs.

Yes, Gracie is a SCWT! Or as I call her "my sweet Wheatie"

I agree, Irish Wolfhounds are amazing & beautiful animals! So rare to see one! At least around here! I just can't help but love doggies!

I did manage to get to the library after I ran an errand. Picking up the boys soon.

I had planned on compleltely vegging out tomorrow with my books and movies. However we have a viewing at midday. Our house was relisted today and already the new agent has us two viewings booked in !!

Anyway we will have the afternoon to relax before work on Sunday for me.

Good Friday Morning MMC! TGIF! Everyone as ready for the weekend as I am? I'm off Monday so it's a 3 day weekend for me (my specialty). Looking forward to some pizza tonight, ice cream on Saturday, and going to IHOP on Monday for a late Mother's Day brunch. Will be nice to go when there's normal amounts of people there instead of crowded. Got a lot accomplished yesterday at work so today is almost a semi laid back day at work for me (I can probably count those on 1 hand since Thanksgiving). I'll fill in for Crown if he needs me to the next week. If anyone else wants to do a day or 2 just let me know.
