Agreed. I seriously feel so different mentally and emotionally and physically. It's a new habit of mine that I look forward to keeping!

I woke up to a freezing morning. The smell of pine and wood smoke suddenly transported me to autumn days in October. My favourite month. My favourite season. Outside is washed in dark grey and the sky overcast. I am warming up with a steaming mug of coffee and the fire while visions of jack-O-lanterns dance in my head. :)

Well that's a bummer. Maybe I better check our forecast again. Last I looked there was a chance tomorrow & Saturday but other than that looked pretty good. (subject to change) Hopefully we all end up with some nice Memorial weekend weather.

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! Happy Rudolph Day #5 and Pines Day! Hope you're all starting to think about the long Memorial Day weekend ahead of us. It looks like the warmth is right on schedule as I usually wind up having to put the a/c up around Memorial Day weekend and here we go into the 80s now today through the weekend. I plan on putting it up on Saturday (even though it shows next week we're going to be cooling off again back to normal/below normal).

We don't get to the 80s here so I can appreciate it can get too warm for you guys sometimes.

I think that's my ideal weather FS! It gets up to 100 here sometimes, mainly in the 80s and 90s in the summer. It's not my favorite but I make do with AC! And I do appreciate having 4 distinctive seasons too. Always have to make the best of what's around!

As predicted by the weather service, yesterday was sunny and dry and yes, I DID get that lawn mowed!
More of the same today only warmer, as we move ever closer towards the inevitable heat and humidity.
Currently, our back door thermometer tells us it is 64 degrees outside.


Well, it is mid week and we all know what THAT means!
So does Carl, and he's ready and waiting with......well......who knows what.
But, like every Wednesday, the mysterious 'Pines activities director and his fascinating plans beckon us to the door.

Good morning all my Christmas loving friends !

I called in sick today, allergies or cold not sure which but feel clogged up and just plain yucky. Don't have to be in again until 12:15 on Friday so lots of time to get better. The students are back so we end up with less hours which really sucks. Nothing can be done about it because they just remind us that we were never promised any set number of hours a week.
Oh well, more time to work in the garden !

I am sorry you called in sick and aren't feeling well CS! I really hope that you're on the mend ASAP! Sorry about work hours-they sure can be frustrating sometimes, can't they? At least scheduling wise. Love your positive outlook though! Hope your day has turned out okay friend!
