TGIF, my Christmas friends!

It's a slow day here at work. Almost everyone else has taken today off to get a four day weekend. Yep, just we dedicated few here, trying to keep the doors open. Riiiight. If I had thought of it, I'd be off today, too!

Jacob's band has a gig Saturday night at a busy college hangout. It's his fist real, gotta-play-till-midnight gig since they formed the band, so we'll see how well they do. they recently picked up a fourth band member, and I'm not too excited about it, but they didn't ask me LOL.

Anyway, I hope y'all have a great day!

Hey friends!! I hope you all have had great Thursdays. I'm doing okay today. I had a very difficult thing happen at work (I work in a healthcare facility and tough things happen quite frequently, unfortunately), but I'm going to take good care of myself this weekend. Looking forward to a night off tomorrow and a weekend to myself before working all next week. In healthcare we don't get holidays off most of the time, and if I do I have to take one of my 8 PTO days...so I save those up as much as I can. I'll enjoy a cookout this weekend instead!! Gotta look on that bright side!

Good Friday Morning MMC! TGIF! And this is a big one. Been looking forward to Memorial Day weekend for weeks...even months. I always think of this being a turning point in the year as most people do. It really feels like summer time now and we pretty much this weekend start full-fledged into summer. I love it. I'm glad it's here and looking forward to some relaxation this weekend, a bbq on Memorial Day and of course there will be errands and such that have to get done.

Good Morning, Holiday Season Appreciators.

And one thing we can all appreciate is the fact that, in the not very distant future, BOTH of our count numbers will start with a "1".
(After that, it won't be so very long before we will be seeing double-digits to Christmas Season 2016!)

Days to the Season: 170
Days to Christmas Day: 212

And did I say something about double-digits?
Well say, now -- in just three short days, we will be down to SINGLE digits to the 200-day Christmas Day Milestone.
Then, that double-100's count will begin!


Another warm, pleasant one yesterday. The heat is here but not the humidity so it's really pretty nice. Today will be our last fully dry one and rain is supposed to move in by late tomorrow.
But, not matter. Half a day at the coast with nice weather is better than none at all, so we are off!
Our thermometer currently reads 70 degrees here in the capital city under brightly sunny skies.

Christmasstar will be taking over for Saturday and Sunday mornings with the possibility of Monday (but with heavy rain predicted at the coast by then, we will probably return some time Sunday).

Good Morning MMC! Last day of the work week before a long weekend and I'm not even on call for a change! Going to go to Frankenmuth on Sunday for the night. It's a huge deal because it's the first time since the baby was born that we are going to be away from him for a whole night (and he's two)! There will be chicken, Bronner's of course and some polka music too! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Good evening,

Another long day here, also very, warm again. It did reach 90*F here, and I went out and mowed the lawn after work in that heat. My wife wasn't happy with me for doing it, but I actually didn't get a headache. I just couldn't stand looking at the lawn anymore.
The Pittsburgh Penguins are going to play the San Jose Sharks for the Stanley Cup. I know Sugar is happy with that. Growing up the Penguins were my second favorite team, and the Sharks were my third favorite team. I have a jersey from both teams, the Sharks jersey is 25 years old, while the Pens is 16. It should be a fun series.
Tomorrow is another baseball night, the dreaded road game, so I will be home later.
We have no plans of having or going to a cookout this weekend, I only have Sunday off, and we are just burnt out from this non-stop schedule we have had. So it will be a restful day on Sunday.

TGIF Friends....so happy it is the end of the week. I am working today and as I mentioned my daughter's friends are coming over tonight @ 5:30. We are going to do pizza tonight and an ice cream cake. We don't really have any plans for the weekend. Maybe get together with friends for a cook out?? I am hoping to relax and looking forward to an extra day off! Hope you all have a great day!

Looking forward to the weekend! I got some things packed up for the lake last night & dropped some things off out there already! I'm going to make a smoked turkey roast & smoked twice baked potatoes, either Saturday or Sunday out there. Can't wait! We have 2 graduation parties but other than that we are planning on being at the lake. Hoping for nice weather! xx We got some unfortunate news last night that my Uncle Bob passed away. I'm assuming his viewing will be Monday with burial on Tuesday. He was such a good, smiley man! He'll be missed, for sure!

Yep, it was! And we better enjoy this b/c before we know it, it's going to be Labor Day! Happens every year! Summer seems to go "Poof, gone" Hope you have a great day! Enjoy the bbq on Monday! We will probably grill out several times over the weekend along with the smoked meal I'm making. Looking forward to it.
