Looking forward to the weekend! I got some things packed up for the lake last night & dropped some things off out there already! I'm going to make a smoked turkey roast & smoked twice baked potatoes, either Saturday or Sunday out there. Can't wait! We have 2 graduation parties but other than that we are planning on being at the lake. Hoping for nice weather! xx We got some unfortunate news last night that my Uncle Bob passed away. I'm assuming his viewing will be Monday with burial on Tuesday. He was such a good, smiley man! He'll be missed, for sure!

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

It's a slow day here at work. Almost everyone else has taken today off to get a four day weekend. Yep, just we dedicated few here, trying to keep the doors open. Riiiight. If I had thought of it, I'd be off today, too!

Jacob's band has a gig Saturday night at a busy college hangout. It's his first real, gotta-play-till-midnight gig since they formed the band, so we'll see how well they do. they recently picked up a fourth band member, and I'm not too excited about it, but they didn't ask me LOL.

Anyway, I hope y'all have a great day!

A lot of people took off today here too. Look at it this way you've still got a 3 day weekend and the day you're saving today you can use for another 3 day weekend when those guys are at work .

Thanks! It was fun. Emma came along too. She had never been in a beauty shop before. She was in "awe" ~ it was so cute! She wanted to get her hair done too!

Yep, it was! And we better enjoy this b/c before we know it, it's going to be Labor Day! Happens every year! Summer seems to go "Poof, gone" Hope you have a great day! Enjoy the bbq on Monday! We will probably grill out several times over the weekend along with the smoked meal I'm making. Looking forward to it.

I know. Memorial Day to Labor Day seems like such a long time but...somehow it just goes so fast. I love summer so much...definitely next to the Bers it's my 2nd favorite time of year. HOpe you have a great weekend too and enjoy that food and the lake!

Pretty much felt like it until a week or so ago!

Good Morning, Holiday Season Appreciators.

And one thing we can all appreciate is the fact that, in the not very distant future, BOTH of our count numbers will start with a "1".
(After that, it won't be so very long before we will be seeing double-digits to Christmas Season 2016!)

Days to the Season: 170
Days to Christmas Day: 212

And did I say something about double-digits?
Well say, now -- in just three short days, we will be down to SINGLE digits to the 200-day Christmas Day Milestone.
Then, that double-100's count will begin!


Another warm, pleasant one yesterday. The heat is here but not the humidity so it's really pretty nice. Today will be our last fully dry one and rain is supposed to move in by late tomorrow.
But, not matter. Half a day at the coast with nice weather is better than none at all, so we are off!
Our thermometer currently reads 70 degrees here in the capital city under brightly sunny skies.

Christmasstar will be taking over for Saturday and Sunday mornings with the possibility of Monday (but with heavy rain predicted at the coast by then, we will probably return some time Sunday).

Good Morning MMC! Last day of the work week before a long weekend and I'm not even on call for a change! Going to go to Frankenmuth on Sunday for the night. It's a huge deal because it's the first time since the baby was born that we are going to be away from him for a whole night (and he's two)! There will be chicken, Bronner's of course and some polka music too! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

TGIF Friends....so happy it is the end of the week. I am working today and as I mentioned my daughter's friends are coming over tonight @ 5:30. We are going to do pizza tonight and an ice cream cake. We don't really have any plans for the weekend. Maybe get together with friends for a cook out?? I am hoping to relax and looking forward to an extra day off! Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning all! Wow, the weather got hot fast here! It's 81 and sunny, and hopefuly we'll continue to have good weather for this weekend. I can't believe it's Memorial Day weekend already. It's been a rough few months for my family, and I haven't really been in a chatty mood. On top of that, it turns out I messed up some of the big muscles in my leg when I fell and broke it last December, and they are just not improving. I'm really starting to wonder if I'm going to be able to decorate this year, because all I can do right now is hobble around. This is really becoming aggravating, because I can't even go grocery shopping by myself right now. Getting hubby to shop is like playing a game of chance; you may get what you put on the list, but you may also end up with something totally unexpected, and he won't use the coupons. Bah! What I need is one of those little Segways. That would fix me right up!......unless I fell off of it and broke something else. Maybe I'll just keep working on my leg exercises.

You're right, I had an old, failed root canal re-treated bright and early this morning. Went to work right after, and even though the numbness has worn off, very little pain so far. This appointment was to clean it out and put in some medication. I go back in a couple weeks to (hopefully) get it finished. Then I'll have to schedule two appointments for the NEXT one ... for AFTER we return from vacation. And I hope that'll be the end of my dental adventures for a while. Good heavens ...
