We went to Charlotte, NC about 12 years ago in July, to visit my sister. It was the first time in my life that I could actually feel myself sweating while swimming. I will never forget that. It was the most oppressive heat I had ever felt.

I am finally caught up, again.
We had a long day here, errands in the morning, yardwork, and grilling in the afternoon and evening. It was the first time we fired up the grill this year, sirloin steaks and chicken. It was quite tasty!
I also put in our second AC this morning, it is probably the earliest I have ever put it in. Last year it wasn't until July when I put it in. The cool down will be here tomorrow, only suppose to be 70f.
Back to work in the morning, at least it is time and a half.

She still has to go outside every two hours, but hopefully we'll see improvement with that. She doesn't appear to be uncomfortable right now, thankfully!

I'm very comfortable in 34 degrees too...with a sweater...and a jacket...and gloves...and a hat...and...Everyone thinks I am crazy because I work in short sleeves in a 34*f cooler, and I am very comfortable.

It is a holiday here today and we are also off for the rest of the week. First vacation time together for the year!
It was busy in the city yesterday. The weather was hot and sunny and with it being a holiday weekend everyone was out and about. They were also promoting horse safety yesterday near my work. Reminding drivers of the safe protocol for driving alongside horses/riders. It's taught when learning to drive but some seems to forget once they get a license. I am pleased they are doing this as there has been too many accidents where horses/riders are injured or worse. Horses are nervous at incoming traffic and can't always control their anxiety. They are such beautiful, gentle creatures.
