That isn't hard to do, especially since an organic spice store opened up several months ago.

Oooooh, I would like an organic spice store!

Mmmmboy ... 83F and sunshine. I took a quick walk around the block after my lunch break and loved it.

An organic soft-drink company is moving out of the building; they put a cooler full of their seltzers and sodas in the lobby. I'm drinking a mildly fizzy orange-mango soda. Very summery!

We don't have much of a chance of rain here either. Although as mentioned it was supposed to rain all last week & never did, so ??? I guess we'll find out! And I agree - low lakes are a sad sight!

Good morning guys & gals! Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a wonderful memorial weekend! The weather turned out to be awesome! We had a major downpour Saturday night just as we were getting ready to eat our smoked food - but not a big deal, we just piled inside & ate. And I must say it was quite delicious! Then us girls played marbles. Haven't played that for a long time ~ it got pretty heated! Ha ha!!! It was fun!

This morning has been a little unusual. I was supposed to stay with Mom last night but her AC went out, so my sis took her to her house on Saturday night & she stayed there for the weekend. I had already told my boss I would be in late this morning since I thought I would be staying with Mom ~ I woke up today & felt like I had a cow sitting on my chest! I'm not sure if it's a cold or allergies! My co-worker said he had the same thing, all weekend. UGH! Anyway, I'm feeling better now, but I did take advantage of coming into work late. I stayed at the lake a little longer this morning & enjoyed some couch & tv time! Hard to come in after that. What a beautiful morning!

THEN I got some sad news that my Moms youngest sister was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer! UGH! Cancer sucks! Makes me so sad. She's such a sweet lady! Her husband died of kidney cancer probably close to 15 years ago. I hate this for their family! She see's a specialist on Thursday which also happens to be my uncle Bobs funeral. Viewing is Wednesday so I guess I'll be off work Thursday instead of today. What a week, huh?! Just reinforces that we need to cherish family, friends & health!

Hey MMC friends! I'm sorry I missed you all this weekend. I worked and kept super busy. But I'm excited to be back! Things have been pretty good. The only difficult thing right now that's new is that my dad's cousin had a heart attack and he's in the hospital now. He's expected to pull through so that's good! We're hoping he feels better soon-lots of caretaking for me currently between him and my aunt.

Hoping you all had a wonderful weekend! Looking forward to hearing how everyone is-apologies for anything I missed!!
