Happy Birthday Edge! Sounds like you had a nice relaxing day in the sun. Well deserved.

Good afternoon everyone!
Michelle and I had a wonderful time in Hilton Head this weekend and now are at home relaxing. We went to the beach twice and did some shopping. Ate out twice at sea food restaurants and drove around to check out the area. We may go back for a day trip in two weeks.

I will try to catch up on some of the posts I miss but I probably won't get to them all.
It's hot and sticky hear today. Temp right now is 96 with a feels like of 101. View attachment 25032
Thank God for A/C!
Have a blessed day!
Quite a nice weekend you had there. I can't believe how hot it gets down there. Try to stay cool. Send some of that heat up here, it's currently only 11°C/52°F.

I stay on Facebook too much, and with all the news and bickering on it right now, I've made the decision tonight to just leave MMC up and no Facebook for the rest of the night-and maybe week. It's one thing to stay informed. It's another to just be in the middle of bickering and hearsay and negativity. I need a little Christmas cheer...and I think the whole country does. Let's have a merry evening!
I only use Facebook to post random photos. It's a good way to keep in touch with some people but I never fully got into it. Sometimes it's good to take a break. Enjoy your evening and stay positive.

I'm currently trying a new recipe: a quiche for which the crust is made with shredded potatoes. The crust is currently cooking. Should be good, I think the texture will be like hashbrowns. The filling will be eggs, cheese, spinach, brocoli and cream. I like trying one new recipe every week but the last one we tried was a disaster. Hope this one will be a winner. After suppper we'll watch Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Can't believe the weekend is almost over, it goes by way too fast. Enjoy your evening everyone!

Sounds like a yummy and fun night. Have fun Martine!

Sometimes I feel like deleting my FB...but then I realize all the people who I keep in touch with through there and I can't do it. But it is sad when a big news story happens to see some people's hatred/anger directed at specific people/groups of people. Just feels like so much hate in the world when you read peoples comments on different various news stories. More than I ever imagined there was. Maybe I'm naive to it or was till I got FB. Sometimes I wish that I still was.

I was in college when it came out just for college students. It's crazy to see how it's just gotten completely out of control. I'm sure it has redeeming qualities too (like keeping in touch with people I haven't seen in years) but the arguing and constant political talk and he said/she said just is so negative and can really bring you down. I prefer to surround myself with positive thoughts and get my news from a news site/TV.

I've heard of that recipe or one similar to it. Tasty!! I was going to try one with sweet potatoes at some point. Hope it turns out well!

I made this casserole last night called Christmas Day Casserole. Sausage, eggs, milk, toast, cheese, etc..bakes into a huge omelet like concoction.--- most excellent breakfast.
--- Edge...off all week!!! I put in 85 hours last week in 5 days, so I had em carry it over to this week...
