Good Monday Morning MMC! I'm off from work today so just trying to figure out what to do. Yesterday was a relaxing day. I think today that I may do some yard work and go to the mall. I like being busy but once in a while you need a day to just sorta give yourself some time to relax. It's pretty cool that we are all seeing CIJ not being very far away from us now!
Have a great Monday everyone!
Enjoy your Monday off! Have fun at the mall and hope you get the yard work done. Sounds like a nice cool day to do it being in the 50s :D

Good Morning, All.

We have arrived at yet another week's beginning. The start of seven more steps toward Christmas Season 2016.

The numbers:
Days to the Season: 153
Days to Christmas Day: 195

UNDER the 2 week mark until the 50 percent point to Christmas Day!
(How about that, now!)

Another hot and humid one yesterday. The kind of day that makes you want to stay inside and just let nature have its way with the great outdoors for the duration.
This new week has dawned at 69 degrees here in the capital city and today should be a bit cooler.

You have a Marvelous Monday, Folks.
And may your week be off to a Stupendous Start!
Thanks Crown! Stay cool!

Another cool morning here!! We went by the Hallmark store yesterday and I noticed they are slowly moving in the fall items. At work July 4th is usually our end of summer in seasonal (garden area).. I have left orders to be informed at the 1st items to arrive for Christmas. Its a bet amongst a few stores. Whoever has the nearest date wins 500 bigguns.:D
Good luck with the bet :D

Yes it's a different school system. I know you get quite a long summer break over there.

50s is quite cool for you all this time of year. I have to say all the warm weather we have had recently makes these 50s seem cooler than it would normally. LOL
Where I live most schools have 10 weeks off in the summer (last week in june till first week of September). But where my brother lives in San Diego they go year-round but with shorter more frequent breaks (like 3 weeks at a time several times a year).

Funny how July 4th they already are ending summer. It's like how when school ends at the end of June by early July they've got the "Back to school" stuff out for September!

Where I grew up in Va. our school ended in 2nd week of May and we went back about 2nd week of August. It was designed to avoid the hottest time of year.

98 yikes. Glad it's 78 here. Just spent 2 hours out laying in the sun with a breeze and low humidity. It feels so nice. Monday is going to be just the same and fortunately I'm off.
The humidity is the worst part this close to the southeast coast. Blech!

Good afternoon everyone!
Michelle and I had a wonderful time in Hilton Head this weekend and now are at home relaxing. We went to the beach twice and did some shopping. Ate out twice at sea food restaurants and drove around to check out the area. We may go back for a day trip in two weeks.

I will try to catch up on some of the posts I miss but I probably won't get to them all.
It's hot and sticky hear today. Temp right now is 96 with a feels like of 101. View attachment 25032
Thank God for A/C!
Have a blessed day!
You passed pretty close to Bellville on your way to HHI. Give a shout next time you're nearby and we'll grab a cup of coffee! (Christmas blend, of course ;))

I stay on Facebook too much, and with all the news and bickering on it right now, I've made the decision tonight to just leave MMC up and no Facebook for the rest of the night-and maybe week. It's one thing to stay informed. It's another to just be in the middle of bickering and hearsay and negativity. I need a little Christmas cheer...and I think the whole country does. Let's have a merry evening!

AMEN!

I'm currently trying a new recipe: a quiche for which the crust is made with shredded potatoes. The crust is currently cooking. Should be good, I think the texture will be like hashbrowns. The filling will be eggs, cheese, spinach, brocoli and cream. I like trying one new recipe every week but the last one we tried was a disaster. Hope this one will be a winner. After suppper we'll watch Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Can't believe the weekend is almost over, it goes by way too fast. Enjoy your evening everyone!
Tell me what you thought of the movie! I saw it on the shelf at Walmart this weekend, and almost bought it.

Edge, Happy (late) Birthday!!

I apologize, I somehow missed that it was yesterday. Same day as my mom's! I'll remember next year!

Happy New Week!

Rocky start here ... Mr.'s cold is roaring, so he's going to see the doctor about it, while I'm fighting off a headache. Hopefully, neither one of those can last long. Gorgeous weather, though.

U.S. members, remember Flag Day is tomorrow!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

The BBQ yesterday afternoon was a great success! We celebrated mama's birthday, and Elizabeth's return from camp, AND finally opening the pool for the summer! I think the pool supply store was celebrating after I wrote the check for all the chemicals, too. ;)

It's so hot that the A/C has been struggling to keep up, but it's showing valiant effort!

We're planning a trip to Nashville, TN next week. Nancy's sister and their parents gave Jacob a trip to The Grand Ol' Opry for graduation. He's not really into country music, but he loves live music, and the Charlie Daniels Band is playing that week, so it should be fun! And Lulu is staying with mama for a few days, so she'll love that, too.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D
