Another cool morning here!! We went by the Hallmark store yesterday and I noticed they are slowly moving in the fall items. At work July 4th is usually our end of summer in seasonal (garden area).. I have left orders to be informed at the 1st items to arrive for Christmas. Its a bet amongst a few stores. Whoever has the nearest date wins 500 bigguns.
It'll be here before we know it! Enjoy the cool weather!!
Although the thought of another car and the financial situations that go with that your mechanic sounds like mine. He just gives you his honest advice etc. In the long run you'll be better off. Sinking too much $ into a used/older car can become almost as expensive as buying a new car! And at the end of putting all those funds into the older car you eventually have to get a newer one anyway!Oh friends, what a day. The car repair is going to be the total of the car's worth, meaning all of a sudden we're in the car market. Yikes! We have a few options we're looking at, but it's so stressful after three months of caretaking and tough work. Sigh. In any case, that's life and we're going to make the most out of it! I'm thankful for my mechanic who really helped me out and provided me with some thoughts on new cars and the need for one given our situation. It's nice when you find someone you can trust!We will be just fine and hopefully will have more reliable transportation at the end of this week.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!
The BBQ yesterday afternoon was a great success! We celebrated mama's birthday, and Elizabeth's return from camp, AND finally opening the pool for the summer! I think the pool supply store was celebrating after I wrote the check for all the chemicals, too.
It's so hot that the A/C has been struggling to keep up, but it's showing valiant effort!
We're planning a trip to Nashville, TN next week. Nancy's sister and their parents gave Jacob a trip to The Grand Ol' Opry for graduation. He's not really into country music, but he loves live music, and the Charlie Daniels Band is playing that week, so it should be fun! And Lulu is staying with mama for a few days, so she'll love that, too.

There are some days that life is just not fair! This is one of them days!!It is an absolutely GORGEOUS day! There is a predicted high of 84º but so far very little humidity! My hubby is off work today - he & Gracie stayed at the lake last night. It was so hard for me to leave there. Yesterday was a gorgeous day too! I stayed with Mom last night, so it was all good, but ahhhhhhh!
We were out on our pontoon almost all day. Jims uncle & his girlfriend paddled their paddle boats to our trailer & we took them out on our pontoon on a tour of the lake with a cup of coffee & sunshine at 8 am! So, so nice!
The I Do BBQ was really nice on Saturday! The night ended with a fierce game of whiffle ball. Ha ha! They had a good turnout & plenty of delicious food & drink!
Our "concoction maker" is a huge success at the lake. Funny b/c when we got to the I Do BBQ my brother & SIL had just bought one too. They had that fired up, making some kind of rum drinks. (I did not have any - I had to drive)
Today is Emma's (Moms Amish lady) 3rd Anniversary of caretaking in Ohio. My bro is having a cook out tonight to celebrate & eat leftover food & drink!
It doesn't look like I'll have much of a chance to catch up around here. I got to work late since I stayed with Mom & I'm 450 posts behind, you chatty PEEPS!

Yep! That's right. We're going to buy one we can afford too and pay it off quicker than the loan, so that's good. Just not ideal or what we were hoping for.

I like back-to-school supplies in stores because I just love pens and papers etc. There are two types of stores where I can browse for long periods of time: office supplies stores and kitchen accessories stores.
