Nobody really celebrates Flag Day ... most Americans couldn't even tell you when it is! But I'll probably wear red, white, and blue and put a flag photo on my computer desktop, and I may take a little gadget to the office that I bought recently: It's a tabletop flag that waves and plays music when you press a button. (I'll mute the music, though!)

I celebrate Flag Day with my flags and banners flying at home and my flag shirt that I will wear to work. God bless the U.S.A.!!!

Oh friends, what a day. The car repair is going to be the total of the car's worth, meaning all of a sudden we're in the car market. Yikes! We have a few options we're looking at, but it's so stressful after three months of caretaking and tough work. Sigh. In any case, that's life and we're going to make the most out of it! I'm thankful for my mechanic who really helped me out and provided me with some thoughts on new cars and the need for one given our situation. It's nice when you find someone you can trust! We will be just fine and hopefully will have more reliable transportation at the end of this week.

Hope you all are having a good day! And that things are going smoothly for each of you!! This week, the year is halfway over, right? Isn't that crazy?? We're coming up on it at least and that excites me and gives me hope!

I am so sorry to hear of the car trouble and unexpected cost. I know of that only too well Grrrrrr It really is great that you have a trustworthy mechanic who can offer sound advice. Prayers for everything to work out for you DW. Thinking of you. Keep striving forward my friend (((hugs))))

I like back-to-school supplies in stores because I just love pens and papers etc. There are two types of stores where I can browse for long periods of time: office supplies stores and kitchen accessories stores.


Prid and Prejudice and Zombies is fun, mindless entertainment. Pretty dresses, pretty people and action.


Sounds like you had a perfect weekend at the lake. A colleague has a pontoon and like you, he can spend all day on it. Hope Gracie is feeling better. Loki seemed off this morning, he snubbed the piece of banana that I give hime every morning. His tummy was upset, he got sick all over the rug. But tonight everyhing is back to normal .


Oh my goodness they are so sweet! Love your story about the pet adoption.

Time to go watch Game of Thrones on dvr. Have a nice evening everyone!

Hope Loki is much much better now. It's always so worrying when they are not well.

Merry Tuesday,

Back to school/nursery today. It will take a couple days to settle back into it especially with the change in weather. I couldn't even find my wellies and raincoat this morning. Feels so long since I needed those.

I am having some issues with anxiety these days. Hard to say if it's the result of my unsettling dreams of late OR the cause of them. It will be okay though. It will pass.

Just another grey, rainy day here in the north of England. We are at 55 at the moment but I feel a bit cold !!
